The Greatest Underrated Pastry Shop

Wednesday, March 08, 2006
There is a small competitiveness between Modern Pastry and the more famous Mike's Pastry that is pretty much across the street. The line often stretches out the door of Mike's of people waiting to get their treats- mostly tourists though. Most area locals prefer Modern to Mike's- both for taste and lack of chaotic scene. The storefront is small, but they have exquisite treats like cakes, pies and marzipan fruits. It's a little pricey, but then again it is cheaper than it's competitor :)
