The South End is home to many swanky restaurants and upscale bars, but if you're in the mood for something more down-to-earth, head over to Tim's. The burgers, steak tips and other standard diner fare do not even cost more than $10.
The service here is super friendly and they treat the regulars very well. The kitchen is open until 11pm, but patrons can enjoy cheap beers until 2am at the bar. This is truly one of the best hole-in-the-wall places in Boston.
