These ladies are hipper than you, but humble too. I highly recommend this relaxed atmoshpere for a stylish cut or dye. The prices aren't terrible compared to the many $80-something salons that plague San Francisco - but it's not exactly cheap either. If you're looking for a good do, then this will definitely do.

This is my favorite biker bar, and by biker bar I mean bike messangers! Zeitgeist resembles a German beer garden crossed with the hipest parts of the Mission. Go on a sunny day and be prepared to be surrounded by the buzz of happy drinkers. Beware of some of the regulars who are a little protective of their turf. A great place to dress in black.

The Painted Bird just opened and has a fabulous array of fashionable, inexpensive used clothes. Their collection of cute ladies' dresses are great. Whoever is the buyer at the Painted Bird has an excellent fashion sense and forgiving pricing. The store is just starting up and could surely use the new business. The prices are much more reasonable when compared to stores like Buffalo Exchange.

The Roxie is a wonderful hipster scene in the middle of the fabulous Mission District. They have some of the best offerings of independent and local films. I've seen a number of my recent favorites at the Roxie. Many of their films are vying for distribution. This is a great way to support low-budget noncommercial cinema. And the fresh popcorn is delicious too!
