Feel in the mood for cake but wanna try something besides simple chocolate and vanilla? If so, I highly recommend taking a bite out of one of a sugar sweet sunshine cupcake. Sure there's the same old chocolate and vanilla, though more delicous tasting than you probably remember, but the flavor gamet extends to pistachio, lemon, red velvet, coconut, and pumpkin. Slather on one of their amazing frostings and you're good to go.
Of course, if you're not big on cake there's also some mouth watering alternatives -- pumpkin pie, banana pudding, muffins and more.
Add to all of this a friendly staff and decor worthy of the name Sugar Sweet Sunshine and you've got a great place to satisfy you're next cupcake craving.

Skip right to dessert at Chikalicious Dessert Bar. Three courses of tasty and decadent treats is what awaits you once you step foot into this restaurant. The portions are a tad bit small but what you get is absolutely delicious.
Plus, you can sit at the counter and watch teh chefs as they put together your mouthwatering treat, right before your very eyes. Fromage blanc island cheesecake and deconstructed tiramisu remain two of my favorite Chikalicious desserts but no douby you'll find one of your very own in no time.
If you suffer from a mean case of sweet tooth, this is the place for you.

It's all abut the buffet at Charles Southern Style Kitchen. Sure you can order take-out but why do that when there's an all-you-can-eat buffet available for lunch or dinner every day but Monday? Tasty BBQ ribs, fried chicken, collard greens, salmon -- it's all there for the picking. Charles Southern Style Kitchen is far from the most glamorous or high class restaurant in NYC but when you're craving a southern style buffet who cares?

An aunt gave me a gift certificate to Bliss Soho which is the only reason why I ventured to this spa. I had heard bad things about their staff in the past and they their services a bit overpriced to me. However, my time spent at Bliss Soho was pleasant enough.
The massage I received was pretty good, though I have received better. And the atmosphere was quite relaxing. Still, I can't give the place a higher rating for I believe the place could be run better and I've been to better spas with better pricing.

My then boyfriend and I went to the Laugh Lounge one night on a whim and the two of us ended up having a fantastic night. The comedians that were scheduled that day were hilarious; the two of us could not stop laughing.
I haven't been to many comedy clubs in NYC but I can say without a doubt this one is a cut above the rest.

I was told once, by a friend of a friend, that it was next to impossible to find a Scorpio who didn't like Madame X. Something about me and my fellow scorpions liking the scene, the mystery and romance of ut all. That's just how NYC works sometimes but I guess he was right for I've yet to me anyone, let alone a Scorpion, who doesn't like Madame X.
The atmosphere, the staff, the drinks -- Madame X has got it all if you're looking for a good night out on the town. Try one of the house specialities, such as Cherry Pop, Orange U Glad U Came or Sweet Little Bitch, while enjoying the lounge or, better yet, the outdoor garden. You're guaranteeed to have a fun and memorable night.

One of the great things about Giftybox is that it makes a unique and enjoyable gift for anyone of any age. I first learnt of this buisness a month or so before Christmas when I was gift shopping for friends and families. I stumbled upon Giftybox by accident and boy am I glad.
Based on the theme you choose, you can offer a loved one the chance to experience a variety of fun and exciting NYC activities. Currently there are seven themes to choose from, The Experience Collection, Chocolate Addiction, French Dinner for Two, Kid's Activities, New York Classes, Winery Tour For Two and Your Custom Shirt.
I bought my parents one of the Winery Tours for Two, something they both thanked me for up and down. They get to choose from a variety of places to go to for a private tour and tasting. Then, after completion, they'll still have more gifts to look forward to!
With Giftybox, you can offer to your loved ones a gift they're sure to enjoy. Or you can splurge on yourself -- I know I've been eyeing Chocolate Addiction for myself.

For wing lovers such as myself, few places can compare to Pluck U. Founded in 1989, Pluck U could teach a many an establishment how to properly make wings. Simply put, their wings are some of the best I've ever had...and I've eaten my fair share.
Pluck U has five secret sauces: Mild, Medium, BBQ, Hot, Death, and Gold. Personally I've never tried hotter than BBQ and, after seeing one of my grown male friends tear up after ingesting just a little bit of Gold, I don't plan to. However, if you're the adventerous type...
Of course, if you're not a big wing fan there are other things on the menu for you to try but personally I've never tried any of their other foods. At Pluck U, it's all about the wings.

No matter how old I get there are some things that remain the same and my childhood love of comic books is one of them. I don't read them half as much as I did as a child but it's still nice to pick up an issue of X-Men every now and them.Thankfully, NYC is full of great places to scan comics and Village Comics and Collectibles is one of them.
Though not quiet up to par with Forbidden Planet and St Mark's Comics, Village Comics and Collectibles is still better than your average comic book store. Among it's highlights are it's great staff as well as it's inclusion of indie comics. There is lots of merchandise overall and a bunch of adult comics, if that happens to be your thing.

Half bakey, half cafe -- Fluff is a great place to check out if you're hankering for a sweet treat or a quick meal. Still, even though there are soups, paninis, bagels and salads on the menu, when faced with Fluff's array of amazing desserts it can be hard to focus on anything not loaded with sugar.
Fluff Balls and Fwinkies (think Sno Balls and Twinkies only fresh out of the oven), ice cream floats and pink checkerboard cakes are just a sampling of the tasty treat's Fluff has to offer.
Perhaps best of all is the store's whimsical décor. Pastels are everywhere, even incorporated into the desserts. All of this makes Fluff a place worth checking out.
