Whenever I feel the need for new make-up, Sephora is the first place I turn to. The prices aren't always cheap but good make-up unfortunately never is. However, they do carry many a brand that won't break your bank if you feel the need to splurge on them.
Overall, their selection is amazing and they carry many a product exclusively. Personally, I'm a sucker for Urban Decay, Hard Candy and Sephora's own brand. Urban Decay's Shadow box is a particularly great buy. For $34 you get nine of the year's top selling eye shadows in an adorable palette. I have both editions and they're honestly the only shadows I really use.

A large burger on a kaiser roll, or the more unique chi-chi bread, served with a side of french fries is the meal of choice at Due South.
Naturally, there are other options such as steak and a cajun meat loaf but everyone, including myself, can't hear mention of Due South without thinking of their burgers. They're not the best in NYC but they are up there.

There's nothing amazingly exceptional about the food at Around the Clock but it is inexpensive and it is available, well, around the clock and those are two things that can be important after a long night out.
The burgers are great and come with such options as Pizza, BBQ and Mexican. If you're a vegetarian or just on a diet, I recommend the fruit crepes which are absolutely delicious. In fact, I wouldn't mind one right now.

Accents and authentic Australian food greet you at The Tuck Shop. A relatively new restaurant, Tuck Up may not have an extensive history but it does have a fantastic selection of delicious dishes. For under five dollars you can get a traditional meat pie, for under $3 you can enjoy a sausage roll or a vegemite sanger. The menu is only supposed to improve in the coming months so check Tuck Up out if you get the chance!

Eleven is a store to check out if you're into vintage clothing. They have a lot of nice belts and those cowboy boots everyone seems to be into lately. They have some cute jackets and jeans at times as well. I personally have never found anything that caught my fancy inside Eleven but who knows? You might find the steal of a lifetime.

What's better than this book store's name? Well, not much but it's selection, prices and welcoming atmosphere are up there. Every book is a bargain -- even hard covers won't set you back more than $10 at most.
Plus, it's definite;y one of those book stores where you end up finding a handful of books you didn't even know you were looking for. My last visit, for instance, ended with me leaving with a Simpsons comics anthology.

I'll be honest, I've never actually bought anything from Aji Ichiban. Sure, I browsed the one and only time I checked it out and tried a handful of the free samples that were out to partake in but, for the most part, its selection is not for me.Most of their treats involve fruit in some way and stuff like sesame coconut candy just isn't up my alley.
Sure they have chocolate but there are much better places in NYC to get chocolate -- chocolate that tastes better and that is nestled in with more tasty treats.

F.A.O Schwarz is to toys what Hershey's Times Square Store is to chocolate. The selection is extensive, the atmosphere is a thing of wonder and tourists are everywhere. And like F.A.O Schwarz, you can find things in Hershey's Times Square Store you can't find anywhere else in the world but at a price. Nothing is cheap here but like F.A.O it's a store everyone should check out at least once.

Cafe Gitane is a mixed bag. On the bright side, the food is usually delicious and not too expensive. Some of the menu the highlights include tirimasu, vegemite, couscous and a good old fashioned chicken sandwich.
However, on the downside is Cafe Gitane's slow service, which makes getting a table even harder than necessary.
However, if you're not in a rush this may be a place you'd like to check out.

Tiramisu, dulce de leche, truffle chocolate chunk, mint chocolate chunk and Kitchen Sink (toffee, peanut butter and marshmallow) are just five of the over sixty delicious cookie flavors one can find at Ruby Et Violette.
Of course, there's also brownies, refrigable batter, and seasonal gifts to be had. Nothing is truly cheap at Ruby Et Violette (and with a name like that I'm sure you saw that coming) but the quality of their products is fantastic.
