It's a great place to find a really cheap souvenir from Charm City or just to pick up something random to stick on your fridge. Prices are pretty reasonable, but I mean, how much can you really charge for a plastic magnet?

Chesapeake Knife and Tool Company is a great store for your husband to browse while you're poking around at the Body Shop next door. It's got a pretty darn impressive collection of pocket and pen knives, not to mention other assorted gadgets that will keep anyone's testosterone level up. Prices are a little high, but that goes for pretty much all boutique stores at Harbor Place. Still, a fun store to browse and find a great guy gift.

This is one of those clothing boutiques where you wish you could justify your $200 impulse purchase... The gimmick here is that everything in the store is white, black or some combo. You'll find brand names here and plenty of designer threads to appease the savviest of shoppers. If only I could afford the clothing here. Customer service is pretty good, but sometimes I think they get tired of the tourists just browsing.

I love love love this store, though I never worked up the courage to buy anything in this cute millinery shop facing the harbor. Prices are definitely expensive and cater to the loose-walleted tourist crowd. Still, it's a really fun store with an amazing selection of hats. It's a great place to kill some time while waiting for your table at Cheesecake Factory.

My first experience at Capital City was enough to make it my last. The menu of standard microbrewpub fare was overpriced and barely delivered a decent burger. I was less than impressed with the beer selection, although this is what they're supposedly known for. Finally, I found the wait staff underwhelming and bad enough to not want to tip. There's too many good restaurants in the harbor to waste your time here.

Harbor place is fantastic destination for Baltimore tourists and locals alike. HP is a combination of two buildings that house everything from boutique shops to a food court and upscale restaurants, almost all with a great harbor view. This is a fun place to spend an afternoon or evening, but be aware that crowds can make for packed pavilions.
