A sophisticated bar without pretention

Tuesday, March 07, 2006
I'm not a bar fan. By that, I mean I'm not really a huge fan of smoke-filled, dark pubs that reek of cheap beer and grease (not that there's anything wrong with that...) When my husband suggested we grab a drink at Miller's after visiting the Taste of Chicago, I was reticent. Wow, was I surprised! It's got a very upscale feel, but it's not too chic. I hear their food is good, but we only had a few drinks. The bartenders are great, and it seems to appeal to a wide range of ages. Two thumbs up!
