Kafka is a great local wine store that has variety and great service. I am always greeted in a friendly fashion and my questions have always been answered well.
The variety and selections at Kafka are unique and broad. The opportunity to try something new always presents itself. The prices are very reasonable and fair.
You can also find, in lieu of using beer at a tailgating event, a few wine options that come in easy travel containers, quite frankly these "juice boxes" for adults are great for wine drinkers during the summer months.
Visit Kafka, try something new and you'll return to experience the variety and service again.

Chef Manchu Chan Kaze Sushi is found on Roscoe Street in Chicago just west of Roscoe and Damen.
Chef Manchu Chan has created a menu that is full of variety and flavor. Chef Chan uses unique ingredients and tops his sushi with a wide range of different vegetables, sauces and fruits. I found the bonito sushi, which I learned is a relative to tuna to be extremely tasty. The spicy tuna eel roll had a beautiful color and was delicious. The menu is enhanced by what Kaze calls their “Seasonal Menu.” This is an opportunity for Chef Chan to exhibit his outstanding work in creating unique and appetizing sushi and fish creations.
Sampling any of the items on the “Seasonal Menu” is suggested by the staff and quite frankly you will find yourself intrigued by the many options this menu contains.
The staff was attentive and informative. In addition, wine list is very appealing, which many choices to compliment your meal.
If you are a fan of sushi and interested in a dazzling sushi experience, that is unlike everyday sushi, try Kaze. Don’t forget to make reservations.

Smokin Woody's provides great food in a cozy atmosphere. I almost at times felt if I was in the middle of a small town rather than in Chicago while at this restaurant.
For the money spent a lot of food was on the table. I will definitely try any of their entrées that come with the Smokin Woody BBQ sauce. It has a great flavor. The real barbecue flavor that is so many of their dishes, sandwiches and family buckets is tasty and will leave you anticipating your next trip to Woody's!

At Brownstone, located on Lincoln Avenue just south of Irving Park in Chicago, you can find outstanding bar food. They have a great menu and that is why I return time and time again to this establishment.
My personal favorite at Brownstone is the hot pretzel appetizer. If you are a fan of hot pretzels, you will like what Brownstone has to offer. In addition, you can find any of their salads very substantial. Another popular favorite is the fish tacos. This is a great place to go with friends order some appetizers and drinks and simply just hang out.
The bar is clean and well managed. All of their staff can described as friendly and considerate. In addition there are several screens scattered around the bar for your viewing pleasure.
Be careful, when certain football games are on, the Brownstone does get rather crowded. If you are looking for a bar that has a great menu, variety of drinks, including some nice wines on their wine list, check out Brownstone.

FIne Wine Brokers is a unique and comfortable wine store that is found on Lincoln Ave in Lincoln Square. You will find a wide variety of wines at Fine Wine Brokers as well as a knowledgeable gentleman named Gerard who can provide you details and suggestions that will be most helpful and interesting.
What I like most about Fine Wine Brokers is the diverse Wine Tastings that they hold. Ranging from a wine maker in Washington to a blind tasting, their wine tastings are informative and fun. They are intimate gatherings that allow for questions, discussion and laughter. Through the wine tastings at Fine Wine Brokers I've been introduced to many outstanding wines that I would not have the opportunity to otherwise try. In addition, 2 of the Wine Tastings I've attended at Fine Wine Brokers have been an "Open House" style tasting, where one could walk around the store and taste various wines. These "Open House" tastings were fundraisers for local charitable organizations and I find it commendable that Fine Wine Brokers graciously opens their doors to these types of events.

Every time I visit Lynfred Winery I realize what a treasure this place is for the Chicagoland area. I am consistently impressed with the staff that work there. They are always friendly and considerate. In addition, the staff is knowledgeable on all of the wines and that comes from being familiar with them and having tried the wines themselves. Taking a tour of the winery is a fabulous opportunity to learn intricate details of the work Lynfred does.
Some of their wines are truly outstanding. One of my favorites is a Cabernet Zinfandel I enjoyed recently. The aroma was wonderful and it was a simple and refreshing wine. Many of their wines have been award winners but besides those, they have a great variety of wines that are can suit any meal or party you have having. Their Gewürztraminer is lovely as well as a Riesling I once enjoyed there.
I must also comment that their breads are outstanding. Perfect to serve at any cocktail party you may have in your home. Visit their gift shop to find wonderful gifts for your favorite wine lovers.
Joining their wine of the month club is a terrific opportunity to try the variety of wines Lyfred offers.

New York pizza is at its best at Cugini's. This family owned pizzeria and restaurant will not let customers down regardless if they are looking for a simple slice of pizza or a delicious pasta dish.
First of all the staff is friendly and accommodating. Cugini's will welcome you in to sit down and have something great to eat. The pizzeria makes great regular pizza as well as a wide variety of calzones, knots, and vegetable rolls. They also make a Sicilian pizza that is outstanding. Another popular favorite pizza Cugini's makes is their grandma pizza, just a bit thinner than regular pizza with less cheese and more garlic this pizza is delicious and you will find yourself coming back to Cugini's to enjoy his pizza again and again.
In the dining room their Italian menu has a many classic Italian dishes that will not disappoint. They are consistent about their cooking and you will find that many of the dishes are Cugini's are done well each and every time you dine there.
Go to Cugini's and experience all they have to offer. You will find you are likely to become a regular customer.

Unabridged Books is located on Broadway in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
One of my favorite components of this bookstore is they have a section where they have books at a reduced prices. Books that were once $20.00 or $30.00 are now priced anywhere between $4.00 and $10.00. I have found countless books in this section that have been outstanding books to read and I've been able to purchase them at a reasonable price. The other aspect of their sale section is they do a great job of placing books in this area that are perhaps on best seller lists and well known, as well as quality literature that perhaps hasn't had a significant amount of publicity. As I mentioned if you are looking to locate books that are not overwhelmingly popular part are great finds, this is the area to look.
I enjoy he diversity of this bookstore. Located right in Boystown, there are plenty of books on gay issues and writers. There is also a wonderful women's studies area that has a wide variety of books on women's issues. In addition, being located just across the street from a local elementary school there is a super children's section that is a great place to get children's gifts.
I like the combination this bookstore of books of all genres that suit so many different audiences. There are a few chairs around the store but there are this great window seats that are perfect for curling up and exploring a new book you've come across.

I really like this local wine store that opened just one year ago in Andersonville. First, I'll begin by saying that the owners have a neat story. On their website you can learn that they were married at a Michigan Winery and share a love for wine. Their decision to open this store was obviously a risk and they have posted journal entries on their website detailing their experience opening a business. I thought this was interesting as I was unaware of all that is required to open a store.
The store is bright and open. They always have staff on hand to help answer questions and direct you to wines that you may not be familiar with. I really like how they have one table that has wines for sale at the price of $12 or under. This has been a great way for me to learn about new wines and try something different.
In Fine Spirits has wine tastings each month. They have chosen to have some of these wine tastings be complimentary. I find this a great way for customers to learn more about their store and again, learn about new wines customers may not have come into contact with. The first wine tasting I went to there was very pleasant and the hand out they provided on the wines being tasted was helpful.
I would suggest visiting this store if you have a desire to be introduced to a wide variety of wines and you are interested in supporting a local business that has recently become part of the Andersonville neighborhood in Chicago.

I have regularly gone to Spacio to receive a facial. Their facials are outstanding and each time I go there I am often wishing I could stay longer to receive another pampering service.
The manner in which I found Spacio was they were running a coupon in the Red Eye. The coupon allowed the new customer to buy one service and get the second service for free. I tried a massage and facial. Both were done by professionals would took time to discuss any questions, needs or concerns with me first, before they started the treatment.
The front desk staff is very friendly. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent.
If you are interested in a facial, go to Spacio and you will not be disappointed.
