Their staff can be described as considerate and accommodating. the restaurant itself is most beautifully decorated with pictures and mural that add the most festive and wonderful contribution to the atmosphere.

La Donna is a quaint and charming restaurant found in Andersonville. The menu is loaded with a wide variety of pastas that will grab any pasta lovers’ attention. I found that their bread basket was delicious, filled to the brim with crusty, thick Italian bread.
I thought the restaurant had much character, with lovely paintings on the walls. In addition, the staff was attentive and friendly.
I plan to dine at La Donna again, for I have yet to try their desserts, and based on the dessert menu, they looked great.

Penny's is a great option if you are looking for a low key restaurant and quality Thai food. Penny's offers affordable prices and quick service. I think that their menu is vast, where you want rice, noodles in a bowl, soup or noodles you will find something on their menu you will enjoy. In addition, their appetizer, of chicken satay is a delicious way to begin your meal.
One of my favorite dishes at Penny's is their Spicy Red Pepper Noodles. Where you want chicken, meat or tofu, this dish has great flavor and a bit of a kick

The locally owned family Chinese restaurant will not disappoint you. Any of their dishes are served in a generous portion and full of flavor. I often find myself with plenty of food to take home to enjoy the next day after I've eaten at Stone Dragon. One of my favorite dishes from Stone Dragon is their egg fo yuong. It is wonderful. I also feel that their fried rice is superb.
In addition, the staff is extremely friendly and considerate. They truly treat all their guests like family!

La Tavernetta is a hidden Italian Kitchen that can be found on Broadway, just north of Wellington. I find the menu to be full of options and the food quality to be both consistent and delicious.
I would describe La Tavernetta as romantic and intimate. It is literally tucked away on the lower level and it is truly a small restaurant. The staff, on the occasions I have been there were both accommodating and courteous. Any of their dishes are prepared in a generous style and are full of flavor and taste.

You can find most name brands here, for a deal, such as Ann Taylor, GAP, Banana Republic and more. The prices that Elliott's sells the clothes and accessories at are most reasonable and if you leave there with a bag full of new pants and tops you certainly will have received quite a deal.
I am very glad to see they have added a "$4.00" rack, with pants that are priced at $4.00. Many of these pants and jeans are great finds for work outfits or that weekend pair of jeans. In addition, I've have purchased a few great new purses at Elliott's Consignment that were in incredible shape.

Cafe Con Leche, at about 10:00am on a weekday morning was full with regulars, guests you could tell are their everyday. I liked the comfortable and casual atmosphere of the neighborhood coffee shop. It has character and cozy feel to it. I would suggest if you find yourself on traveling north on Milwaukee Ave, to stop in for a Cafe Con Leche.

What I like best about Whole Foods is the staff that is consistently helpful, attentive and courtesy. I am always offered the option to taste anything I am purchasing and the ability to try new items.
In addition, at a few points in the week, Whole Foods has wine samplings. I have often purchased a wine after having tried it that evening in the store. They wine service it knowledgeable and detailed.
Obviously you will find the prices here a bit higher than your local grocery store but keep in mind the quality you are getting surpasses the norm.

Melrose Diner is the place to go for an outstanding breakfast. The omelette's are fluffy and perfect. You can order one of their many existing omelette's on the menu or you can create your own. The hash browns that come with the omelette's are a great compliment to your meal.
In addition, I found out one day, when I was suffering from a cold that the home made soups at the Melrose Diner are terrific. They are flavorful and served hot.
All of the staff at Melrose greet you with a smile and are attentive. Whether you are their Sunday morning with your newspaper or Saturday evening after a long night of consuming, the food will hit the spot.

If you are looking for a great burger you must try Moody's Pub. The burgers are wonderful as are their salads and their home made blue cheese salad dressing. I think this place is great restaurant to enjoy a nice meal, good environment and the fireplace adds a very neat touch.
Moody's is found on North Broadway, not from Loyola University. They serve peanuts, if you are a beer and peanuts fan this is the place to try. But don't forget to sample a burger too.
