The Omnitheatre is located inside the Science Musuem in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Omnitheatre is a theatre that wraps around you and above you, forming a circle of a screen. It starts out as a IMAX scren and converts into an omnitheatre. They show educational films, everything from wild prairies to underwater adventures. The action and movement of these movies are truly fascinating. This theatre is not for the faint of heart, however! If you get motion sickness, you may get sick from the movement on the screen. The nature of the screen's configuration makes you feel like you are moving, too!

The Walker Art Center is an excellent modern art museum. It is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Remodled just recently, the museum is now much bigger and includes a Wolf Gang Puck restaurant. While some of the exhibits may seem to be "too" modern for some, the museum gives a wide variety of what modern art entails. The Walker also offers classes, tours, films, and lectures.

The Minnesota Sculpture Garden is a must see for Minneapolis tourists. It is located next to the Walker Art Center outdoors. The sculpture garden's most famous exhibit is the Cherry on a spoon, that many will see in ads for Minneapolis. It is huge and impressive when you see it in person. There are many other sculptures made by artists in the garden. The area is landscapted beautifully and the view of downtown Minneapolis from the Garden is outstanding! Nearby you will find many wonderful restaurants, theatres, and other area entertainment. Check out the sculptures and then head across the street to Loring Park.

My fiancee and I recently got a membership to Costco. We received a great savings through his workplace, so we thought we'd give it a try. We already have a membership to Sam's Club, and luckily have a Sam's Club very close to our house. Last night we took the 10 minute trek to Costco for the first time. We had heard that Costco is the "Target" in the whole "Walmart vs Target" of stores. Costco was supposed to have better brands, selection, and be overall, nicer. I didn't find that. We felt it was basically exactly the same as Sam's Club. The store looks nearly identical to Sam's. The brands are very similar. They didn't really have anything amazing that made them stand out or distinguish themselves. Overall, the store was just fine, but the more expensive membership cost doesn't make it better. We also have to drive quite a bit more to get there. They did have a certain brand of chocolates that Sam's doesn't have, so for as long as we keep the membership (probably a year) I'll keep going there for the chocolate!

In the twin cities, one of the premier florists is Bachman's. Bachman's has several store locations. The stores are so much fun to visit. Not only do they offer an amazing variety of flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees, they have an excellent collection of gifts! What a great place to find a gift for that special female in your life. They have pottery, candles, vases, collectables..just to name a few. The gifts are very high end and unique..you will find things here you've never seen. I can spend hours in these stores.

I hate Wal-Mart. For so many reasons this post could go on forever. The main reasons I hate Walmart it is always packed with trashy people. The store itself is very functional..and therefore not exciting or fun to work through. The new Super Walmarts are just plain too big. People love Wal-Mart because their prices are so low. But I know why their prices are so low. My fiancee gave me the reason. Wal-Mart has certain shipping regulations. If they get a shipment from a vendor that has a slightly damaged box..even so much as a slightly off centered label, they refuse to pay for the shipment..yet they get to keep the merchandise. This happens all the time. Therefore the cheap merchandise. I work for a vendor..it only hurts the maker of the kleenix, socks, whatever. Also, everyone has heard of Wal-mart's lack of health insurance for their employees. Horrible. I try to only go to Wal-Mart when I absolutely have to...like when I'm in dire need of fabric at 2 am and I'm designing a show..and I can't wait until the fabric store opens the next day. Yup, that's about it.

The Limited is probably one of my top choices for great women's clothing. I'd buy everything there if I could afford it. The Limited features women's clothing. Much of the store is very appropriate for work attire, and much of it is fun for going out or more formal social occasions (New Year's eve clothes, Xmas clothes, wedding clothes). Check out the sales racks and you can find some nice pieces. This is a great store for 20 somethings on up to probably 50 somethings!

The Gap is one of my favorite clothing stores for a couple of reasons. They have petite clothes. I am 5'2" and so therefore need petite pants and jeans. I love Gap jeans. You can usually find them on sale and they are comfortable. The second reason I love the Gap is for that reason itself..they have great sales. Their online store is nice as well. The Gap has cute, comfortable clothes that look great on anyone.
