The Key West Butterfly Conservatory is an amazing place to visit. I recently visited this conservatory and honestly have never felt more peaceful in my life. You walk in the building and there is a gift shop and then admissions area for the conservatory. You purchase tickets, go through a short area with pictures and descriptions, and then enter the world of butterflies. Never had I seen so many gorgeous butterflies everywhere. Beautiful butterflies in many colors, including bright metallic blue. The area also had gorgeous flowers and a small pond with Coy Fish. Turtles hung out by a waterfall. Calming music is playing. There is also a lab area where you can observe the workers with the hatching butterflies. You are not allowed to touch the butterflies, but if they accidentally land on you, it is considered good luck! My fiancee and I each had at least one land on us. You may take as many photos as you want, and we got some wonderful photos. We then went to the gallery and purchased a gorgeous collection of 5 of the top butterflies in a nice resin case. They sent it to our house by UPS, and we received it just a few days after we got back from our trip, completely perfect! I would definitely recommend this butterfly conservatory; it is an amazing experience!

Fury Adventures is a watersports company in Key West, Florida. They are conveniently located in Mallory Square, near the cruise ships and adjacent to the Westin Hotel. We took the "ultimate adventure" which consisted of a full day water sports trip with snorkeling, kayaking, jet ski, water trampoline, water "rock" (okay plastic!) wall, and the best part, parasailing! This trip would have been a lot better but we ended up having very high winds on the day we went. I ended up getting very sea sick because of the winds, which was too bad. You start off the day with a nice breakfast of muffins, bagels, and fruit. They take you to the reef, where there is also a lighthouse. On our way there, the winds were so high they were not able to use the sails, and we often had high waves which soaked us! Once we got to the reef, we were able to snorkel. Even though I had a life jacket and had snorkeled many times, the high waves got the best of me and I required a life raft which they give you to ease in swimming. I was able to enjoy the snorkeling. The fish were beautiful. After snorkeling, you make way to the water wports area, which included the water trampoline, jet skis, kayaks, and rock "plastic floating" wall to climb on. During this trip, they served a lunch of fried chicken, sandwiches, macaroni salad. As the shaky seas made me quite sick, lunch was not an option! Once we got to the water sports area, I did try the trampoline and the rock wall. It is a fun area. The jet ski's were difficult with the wind. I was very excited for parasailing and it didn't dissapoint. Parasailing was a blast! At the end of the trip, they took you for a mini tour around Key West waters. I believe this trip is fun for someone who wants a big trip with lots to do. As you rode on HUGE catamarans, the ship can hold over one hundred people, so you won't get to know many people on the ship. Because of the large size, everyone kept to themselves and the staff didn't get to know people very well at all. The staff was big but they seemed to keep to themselves and chat with each other.

Danger Charters is a fantastic water sports adventure company in Key West, Florida. I just got back from a trip to Key West where we took a full day Danger Charters Trip. We started off the day by taking off sailing on a full fledged sail boat, not the larger catamarans that many water sports companies use. The staff is excellent. They introduce themselves and ask everyone on the trip their names, where they are from, etc. They then serve fruit and beverages as you are shown on a map where you are heading to. You begin the sports by snorkeling. You are not on the reef, so you see younger sea life, but it is still very interesting. Also, the water was very shallow, which made it easy for first time snorkelers. After snorkeling, you began the journey over to the kayaking area. During this time, you are served an excellent fresh lunch. We had curry chicken salad sandwiches, deli meats and cheeses, and pasta salad. Kayaking in the mangrove areas is very fun and relaxing. We saw several sharks swim near our kayak! On the way back to Key West from kayaking, you begin drinking! The staff brings out the wine and beer and it is a great time to get to know your fellow boaters and the staff. The staff was very friendly and the two non captains each spoke to my fiancee and I for probably a half hour each. I found that this tour company tops their competitors because of their excellent staff. They are very friendly and knowledgable! Check out Danger Charters on your next trip to Key West. They are located on the dock in Mallory Square, right near the cruise ships.

Sloppy Joe's bar is a famous bar in Key West, Florida. This bar is a blast. Located on the corner of Greene and Duval since 1937, this bar has history. Ernest Hemingway used to frequent the bar. Sloppy Joe's has excellent food during the day; try the pound of shrimp or conch fritters. It also has great drinks all day and night long. They have a great stage where all sorts of live talent takes over to create the ultimate party. You will have a fantastic time at this bar.

I just got back from spending four nights at the Key Lime Inn in Key West, Florida. This was a very nice, quaint inn. It consists of small cottages or buildings with a few rooms. The Inn has a main building which has the check inn desk. It is key lime color of course! There is a nice outdoor pool behind the building. The area also has deck chairs and a breakfast area. Each morning from 8:30 to 10:30, they feature a free breakfast of yogurt, toast, english muffins, bagels, muffins, o.j., and coffee. The rooms here are nice. They have nice shampoos, luxury towels, coffee, and flat LCD tv's. Our room had a four poster bed. Our room was in the manor house and had a front porch area with 2 chairs and a table. The Key Lime Inn is on U.S. Hwy 1, so is very easy to find when entering Key West. It is about 2 blocks walk from Duval Street, which is the center of the action. It stays fairly quiet, because it's not right in the center of the action. Though the roosters that live in the area will wake you up at 6 a.m.!

Bonanza! It's a restaurant you may remember from your childhood. What is Bonanza? Well, it's the ultimate buffet restaurant. It's part classy, part just buffet. I say classy because you actually order a entree first (say a steak fillet or a cheeseburger), THEN you get to go for the salad bar and hot food buffet, including chicken wings and meatballs. To finish off your meal, there's the soft serve icecream. Bonanza is never top quality food, but it will fill you up.

The Black Steer is a fine family restaurant in Yankton, SD. The Setting: Total Supper Club feel from the 1970's. With it's dark interior and carpet that should have been replaced in 1979, it may not be modern, but the food is unmistakenly good. The servers will bring around those old fashioned carts with several different types of salad dressing for your iceberg lettuce salad. The restaurant features steaks, chicken, and one of the best pork chops I've ever had. You get 2 fine pork chops, each tender and juicy. Try this place for some good old fashioned family fun.

The Tastee Treat is a great old fashioned drive-in in Yankton, SD. Tastee Treat features a "loose meat sandwich". When my fiancee and I first started dating, he couldn't wait to take me to the Tasty Treat. The loose meat sandwich is good. It is not a bbq sandwich, it is loose seasoned beef without a sauce. It is still very flavorful though (without a sauce) and can be made even better with ketchup (or mustard). The drive in also features fantastic shakes, fries, burgers, and icecream. They have a drive up feature where you can eat in your car, just like the good ole days. You can also eat inside or at a few picnic tables outside.

Trader Joe's is a unique grocery store that has taken landing in Minneapolis, specifically St. Louis Park. Trader Joe's is a small grocer that features store brand nuts, spices, granola, and many other foods. They also have a liquor store attached, which has very inexpensive wine, including the famous "3 buck Chuck". Trader Joe's features a Roasted Red Pepper Tomatoe soup that is to die for...try some. They also have a nice plant/flower section. A small store with specialized foods, you might not want to do all of your shopping here, but it's great for specialized treats.
