Uwajimaya is a wonderfully cultural store. It has a very inviting atmosphere and carries many products that otherwise would be difficult to find. They have everything from groceries to deli items to gifts and souvineers. I did a Chinese themed birthday party for my daughter and was able to find some wonderful items at this store.

This place is so much more than a grocery store. They have the most amazing seafood department that my kids think is the aquarium!

They also have a large asian selection with very good prices. Their bulk foods department is very complete and they have a large natural foods/herbs section. One of my favorite things is the decorative glycerine soap by the pound - it's very fun!
Their grocery prices are on the high end so I don't do my main shopping htere. But I always find the specialty items I'm looking for!

Tanks by Dallas has saved us a couple of times! They have this amazing program where they decomission oil tanks and donate the oil to needy families.
In an age where it seems that every business is out to make a dollar, here is a company that donates expensive heating oil to families who can't afford it. I'm so impressed by the charitability of this company.

No place other than Display & Costume! They have a wide variety of party supplies & even party rentals. It is also a great place to buy quality seasonal stuff at a great discount after a holiday.
My only warning - that place is SCARY around Halloween. I wouldn't suggest taking small children in there at that time!

The paper Zone is a great resource for all kinds of unusual colored and textured papers. They also have what everyone else doesn't have - in bulk! I have purchased supplies many times from them to make invitations and Christmas cards.
They have velvet paper (which is amazingly cool) and they have an entire room dedicated to rubber stamping. They also stock tons of embellishments - eyelets, brads etc... And they have a beautiful selection of scrapbooking paper.

You get a TON of teriyaki chicken (almost enough for 2 people) and the sauce is the tastiest teriyaki sauce I have ever had. The staff is very friendly and the wait time is usually very short.

I just ate there an hour ago and am still enjoying the wonderful meal I had. They especially have VERY good Phud Thai along with many other very good items.
We took some out of town (very Thai food savvy) guests there and they loved it. They were able to quickly accomodatea large group of 13 people and were very on top of table service. I have been here many ties and consider it to be one of the better Thai food experiences in the Seattle area.

I found this store when I was throwing my husband a huge 30th birthday luau - they had tons of helpful things for the party. They are a bit pricey but the stuff doesn't fall apart like the cheap stuff you would find at Oriental Trading Co.
All in all - they have a great atmosphere and have a large selection of Hawaiian items including Hawaiian fabric if you want to make your own Hawaiian party outfit!

We bought their bunkbed set with drawers underneath for our boys and it has held up beautifully. I like that it is unfinished so that we can choose the stain or paint that we would like.

They have a good sized selection of Hawaiian stuff, Pez dispensers, costumes, wigs and a jillion trinkets of every kind. This would be the "Dysfunctional Family's Christmas Stocking Stuffer" utopia if I ever saw it!
