Scott's bookstore is locally owned and operated by the Scott family. Its employees are expected to constantly read and review books in order to help keep the public aware of what's "out there." They do such a terrific job in helping pick out a book for any occasion.
Also, the atmosphere is awesome. It's an old brick building with wide planked wooden floors. Attached is a superb restaurant, well worth the money for an outstanding lunch.
Well worth the stop in downtown Mount Vernon.
