hairdresser in Boston, in my opinion. Stanley went to L'Elegance. I
followed. I suggest you do too.

So it was Labor Day and my friend Amy and I wanted pedicures. Who knew our favorite place would be closed. And our next favorite places. And, well, most of the local places we've never tried but...

However, I happened to have in my car a menu for "Spa Bellisimo" (which I'd never been to but picked up when I was in the area some weeks before) and so we called to see if their "foot facials" were included polish. Spa Bellisimo was closed but the phone was forwarded to their sister spa, Aria Day Spa, which was note only open, but their foot facials did include polish.
The price was steep. For $120 (not including tip) we could reserve a private suite for our pedicures. The service, based on the menu I had, seemed delightful and so we figured we'd splurge and pay the extra money for the added pampering.
When we arrived, we were led to a tranquil waiting room, which was nice, but were never told they were running late and were left waiting for 45 minutes. (At which point I had to ask if we were forgotten.)
We were supposed to be given choices from various foot masks, but were not. They chose for us and we were told they were trying to get rid of old stock. The pedicure itself was okay and they did a decent job for both of us, but it was not better than a pedicure that could be gotten for $20 and certainly sub par to some of the $40 pedicures I've had. There was no extra attention paid and nothing special at all about this "foot facial," unless you count the hype. Even the foot and calf massage it came with was lacking.
At the end we were supposed to be able to chose from a variety of Austrian crystal toe rings, but were not offered those either.
For these reasons, I would not recommend Aria to anyone. It is not that they are bad, really, but they are simply not worth what they charge. (And I would gladly pay the extra money for extra service.)

When I moved to Canton I drove around collecting take-out menus. On the door of Kelly's read "We Deliver" or something to that effect. The menu also promised delivery. YAY!!! In my opinion, the best delivery is breakfast... you can laze around all morn and breakfast just shows up.
When I called for delivery. Nope. No delivery. No idea why it was on the door or the menu and couldn't say that they recently used to deliver either.
Still, I'm fair. I've driven there for breakfast twice. The first time was fair and the second time was decent. I noticed, from one visit to the next, that they had improved their homefry recipe.
So, the place is okay, but it would be so much better if they delivered.

I know, I know... what about the shoes? you ask! WELL, I was in there once when I saw a waitress take on HELL of a spill when she slipped on a wet floor. They are lucky it wasn't a 911 event with the thud that girl made. That's when I noticed they were all wearing regular sneakers.
I used to work in restaurants, and we were always required to wear special non-slip shoes (which, by the way, don't cost more than cheap sneakers) to prevent just this type of thing. In a place with hardwood floors like that, the staff really should be wearing the right shoes. So, for the shoes, they lose a star.

Whenever I had a problem I brought it to these guys, who kept it living probably longer than it's natural lifespan. Alas, when the day came that it had to go, they didn't try to talk me into continuing to fix it.
I have a new car now that's still under warranty (a Saturn that I also LOVE, by the way) so I don't go to Canton Auto anymore but I certainly would if they could do my warranty work.

Here's the thing about TC Lando's. They are in Acton and I am not. This is a tragedy.

I could tell you about the perfect crust that's gooey and flaky at the same time, the amazing ingredient selection, or the sauce that has just the right amount of sweet, tart, and salt... but why should I when I DRIVE FROM CANTON TO ACTON TO GET IT!!!
Try TC Lando's, even if you live 2 hours away (like me)!
