This photographer did a few family shots for us a few years ago and I really wasn't that impressed. The pictures he took in studio turned out alright; however, the outdoor shots (the ones we wanted) didn't turn out well at all. The lighting seemed a little off; we also had some taken at a wedding reception and there was a weird fading spot on each picture-we were upset about that. For the price (which is quite high), I'd definitely recommend finding a different photographer-you can definitely do better than this photographer.
