Issian is an unusual restaurant. It's billed first as a grill, and does indeed have a huge menu of grilled entrees and small plates, skewers and specials. It also has a variety of really interesting cold small plates and surprisingly good sushi. They even source all their fish, which is rare but really virtuous. Their style of sushi serving is a little unusual, though, essentially like sashimi donburi (slices of fish over a bed of rice). Slight ding for that as it was a little sloppier and more difficult to eat than nigiri.
Overall highly recommended. Try the bacon-wrapped asparagus skewer for sure!
