When I first made the hike up to the venue, I was thinking this is it? It's like a mini amphitheatre nestled in the hill. Such a nice place to see a show and not a bad seat, but unfortunately I can only go see a show there if it falls on a weekend since it's a 2 hour drive (depending on traffic) from Los Angeles. There's not much in terms of concessions and the line can be quite long so I recommend you eat beforehand or bring in a snack before arriving. Parking wasn't an issue since I parked at Santa Barbara High School lot, only a short walk away.

Nice place to see a show. You can enjoy a concert under the stars. If you're lucky to get pit tickets, the pit is really small. You don't even have to arrive at the venue early to be up close.
However parking is a major issue. $10 and you park on some unpaved lot. The cars are stacked one in front of the other so if the car in front of you doesn't move, you can be stuck there for an hour. After the show, they divert you away from the residential area on Vermont (unless you get the really expensive VIP parking) and make you take this long, dark, and rather scary detour up a hill that empties into what I believe is Western Ave.

I've been to this place what seems a hundred times, and it's one of my favorite venues to see a concert. First off, I LOVE the layout. Instead of just one big floor like a lot of general admission venues, the floor is divided up into sections, one higher than the next so you get a good view of the stage. They also limit the pit to the first 200 people so you feel really safe. (It doesn't really protect you from people who want to mosh anyway though). Unfortunately, they take away your ticket and give your wristbands before you enter the pit, but you can get your ticket stub back after the show near the main entrance/exit. I've also been up the mezzanine level and you still get a pretty good view up there. The art-deco architecture also adds class to the place. I've usually been able to find street parking around the venue even on a Friday and Saturday night so you save yourself the $10 parking if you're willing to walk a couple blocks.

Really bad, clueless office staff. Previous to my first appointment, I didn't receive a call that the dentist was running at least an hour late so by the time I went there there was a line of people waiting to be re-scheduled. At my first real appointment, I was there I waited 2 hours (one hour in waiting room, another hour in dentist chair). Unfortunately even with all that waiting, all I managed to get was x-rays and an dental exam. The office staff seemed really clueless when I finally finished with the dental exam asking what I needed to make an appointment for, whether this a one or two-week appointment (what?). I was thinking what happened to my regular cleaning? Well, I found out my next appointment two weeks later. I was told I was having a deep cleaning. I am pretty positive the dentist did not tell me anything about a deep cleaning. This was suspicious since I already had a deep cleaning with my previous dentist a year ago, and I brush my teeth two times a day, floss regularly and use Listerine. Also usually before any work is done to your teeth, someone lets you know what the costs are beforehand especially if you had to undergo a 2 hour wait. However I was only told of any costs when they started numbing my teeth for the deep cleaning!
Of note, when I was in the waiting room a lady there was upset that she had missed work therefore half a day's pay to be told right then the crown that was suppose to be installed was not there. She got upset and requested to see the dentist who looked at her file and told her that her appointment was for a deep cleaning. If the crown had arrived, they would have installed it. I'm not sure why the office staff wouldn't have figured this out without taking the dentist away from his patients.
The only positive I can say about the place is there are tvs in the waiting room and exam rooms to kepe you somewhat occupied.

Because of the out-of-the-way location, you get the more active fans who don't just stand around like you see at a lot of Hollywood venues/clubs. And shows don't sell out as quickly so you have a shot at getting tickets. It's not a big venue so you see shows in an intimate environment. It does get a bit dark inside though so maybe bring a small flashlight if you have trouble seeing in dark places. Unfortunately, the area around the Glass House seems to be going downhill. Other than the people at the shows, there doesn't seem like much happening at night. The last couple times I was there, the nearby pizza place I used to go to hasn't been open. And nearby Taco Nazo hasn't opened up in ages. But in the end, that doesn't matter since the shows there are so awesome.

The Troubadour is one of my favorite places to see a concert. You can catch up-and-coming bands and artists in a small, intimate venue at a reasonable price. I usually fax in my ticket order to avoid paying the lame TicketBastard overcharges. A lot of the shows are only $10 face value plus they charge only a couple bucks service fee. Parking can be an issue though. Across the street there are a couple $7 lots. I usually come early, get street parking and eat dinner nearby. If you plan on seeing a rock band there, bring earplugs! It can be really loud. They also sell earplugs at the bar area. Some times the guy at the door will give you a pass to the upstairs "Loft." Only thing up there is a bar and some couches and chairs where you can hang out. Once in a while you may see a celebrity there.
The only negative I can think of probably has more to do with local ordinances, but shows there tend to be on the shorter set...like 1 hour or less for the headling band. I think there's a curfew.

Great selection of sports wear. They offer the high end stuff like Nike and Adidas as well as lower-priced options. They often have sales and make sure to check out their clearance rack. I love that there's plenty of fitting rooms around, and no one really bugs you leaving you free to try on whatever you want. I've bought a lot of my gym clothes here at a discount.

I love 21 Choices. The atmosphere is always upbeat, the people aim to please. They have so many toppings and mix-ins to choose from. And their daily specials are so yummy...the ingredients taste so fresh. And you can request as many samples as you'd like! My personal favorite is vanilla yogurt with circus animal cookies mixed in. On a couple occasions when my yogurt didn't come out as I'd like, I was given a gift certificate for a free frozen yogurt! There's always a line, but it's definitely worth the wait.
