This is such a great place to catch up-and-coming bands and artists or just hang out. It's a 21 and over place so you don't have to worry about annoying kids ruining things for you. It can be quite hot and stuffy inside, though, if there's a lot of people around. The upstairs room has a pool table, bar, decent jukebox, and an old school Pac-Man table. Parking is a major issue ever since the surrounding side streets put up permit only signs though.

Small place to see a show and concert prices are pretty cheap often times under $10. It's located in a strip mall and parking oftentimes can be full in the lot, but I've been able to park on the street in front of the car dealership. Shows there can be really hot literally there. I don't think there's an A/C so you'll be quite sweaty after a show.

I've seen a few shows here and it's a decent place to watch a concert. It's convenietly located at Downtown Disney and parking is free but make sure you get your parking ticket validated after the show! If you eat at the restaurant, you can get inside the show before the others which is nice. However they're really strict about people letting cameras in even if the band doesn't care. Someone said it's because of the logo on the stage background (if they're so concerned about their logo appearing on photos, why not take it down??). They use a security wand to check you (it's near Disneyland so it's understandable). Unfortunately, if you're not near the front of the stage, your view can seriously be obstructed. Upstairs, because of the way the place is designed, the views are obstructed unless you're allowed into the VIP sections. And on the floor if you're in the back, all the heads will block your view or the people who don't care about the show will talk loudly so they can hear themselves over the music.

For arena concerts, this is a great venue. The seats are on such a steep slope that there really isn't a bad seat and if people in front of you stand up, their head won't be in your way. Also great for NHL games as well. I've been to the VIP boxes a couple times, and they're quite nice. There's a few tvs inside but we couldn't figure out how to turn on the volume (or if we were allowed to), and we had to pay for the food. There's a good variety of consessions, but parking can be expensive (min $10). If you're willing to walk a few more blocks, you can save yourself several bucks by finding cheaper lots.

It's quite a tiny place so shows there are quite intimate. And if you're lucky, you can catch some secret shows by big bands. Unfortunately, this place has too much of a scenester Sunset Strip vibe to it and you feel it the minute you stand in line to get in. Someone will ask if anyone is "on the list" and those people usually enter first and don't have to pay, while those of us actually paying are left outside. They used to really strict about letting cameras in, but lately they've relaxed that restriction.

Assignments can vary depending on the number of orders they get. And pay can vary as well, on the lower end there were the receptionist jobs which I disliked and then higher end were Administrative jobs. You do have to pester them, though, if you want to work consistently. The first time I registered there, they asked if I was available for an assignment right away and gave me directions how to get there. Another time, I got referred to their sister company Accountemps (same office) for an Access assignment. Usually with temp agencies, if you want the better, higher paying assignments you have to take the lower paying ones (usually receptionist, general clerk filing and xeroxing type assignments).

Back when I was temping for a living and had no clue what I wanted to do career-wise, I relied heavily on Career Group for temporary work. I had registered with all the big agencies such as AppleOne and OfficeTeam, and often times you get lost in the shuffle since they had so many temporary employees. But Career Group was usually pretty good about giving me temp jobs. The key, though, to dealing with any temp agency is to never turn down a job in the beginning. You want to show that you're a good, dependable and not too picky employee. Over a few months with Career Group, they knew I was a reliable worker so I got better paying assignments. They were also great the one time I wanted to get out of an assignment. It was a receptionist assignment with an investment company that turned more into executive assistant b*tch position. (The environment was also very corporate and cold it began sucking the life out of me), and the people at Career Group got me out of it and assigned me to a better high-paying assignment.

I used to come here often for skating lessons and practice. Lessons are actually a pretty good deal. Usually on their website, there are discounts for lessons and skate rentals. And you get a bunch of free admissions and free skate rentals when you get your lesson card. If you choose not to take a lesson, you can use it for another admission. It can be a bit crowded on weekends so I liked going on weekdays when there was less people. They ice their rink down so it's not too choppy for long.

Not really a big fan of the venue. It's out of the way for Los Angeles people, and it's a pretty old arena. I will say the arena is located in a nicer area than Staples Center though. The floor is quite large, and every time I've been on the floor I've had to deal with mosh pits galore, crowd surfers, being squished with my fellow fans. I can imagine someone can literally die/be seriously injured in the midst of the large crowd on the floor. If you decide you don't wanna deal with that, you'll unfortunately be quite far away. The seats aren't any better since they're quite far from the stage as well.
