Fabiolus Cafe - disappointing

My friends and I went here since it was near Arclight/Amoebas and, we heard good reviews about it. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great, but we were all disappointed with the food. I ordered pasta with bolgnese sauce which is usually my barometer of how good an Italian restaurant is, and it was way too butttery. My friends' dishes were equally disappointing especially considering the food is on the pricier side.
