Solid good food

Friday, February 17, 2006
I've only been to Lark once, but I have to admit I was impressed by the new "in" eating spot in town thats been the talk of the foodies in Seattle. We started with a cheese coarse of three cheeses- all were excellent- served at the correct temperature and the honey comb went well with the goat/sheep based cheeses. We tried a fish dish, which was good, but not spectacular. However, the crispy duck was amazing, you must try it if is on the menu. We also tried the special- an escargot tart with potatoes, bacon and caramelized onions. The escargot was a bit tough, however everything else was perfect- a flaky, rich buttery puff pastry. Lastly, I ordered the pear tart tatin- perfect. My friend loves the lemon parfait.
