This is the Wild Oats formerly known as People's market. People's market was cheaper and funkier but wasn't in tune with the more upscale Evanston clientèle so this place recently morphed into a regular Wild Oats, which is a lot more like its main competitor, Whole Foods.
The prices are still a little better here and this is a place you can find all your staples if you are hip to organic foods, healthy eating, and preventative medicine.
In their new incarnation they now have a great prepared foods section, and a more reliable inventory.
I wish they would put a Wild Oats further North. Libertyville or Gurnee would be great and either town would support it and welcome it. How about it, Wild Oats?
