The prices are kinda pricey but they have great sales a couple of times a year so hold out for those. Plus the atmosphere is totally relaxes the sales staff is super friendly and helpful

Once you go down the stairs into the basement you step into a small store that sell nothing but zines. For those who are zine illiterate a zine is a handmade, cut and paste papers of pictures and articles that can range from Neo buddhism to What my cat fluffy ate today. It's pretty much up to the author what they want to write about. Some pretty good reads. It's like reading a blog or someones journal. See Hear is also the only store in NYC devoted to selling nothing but zines so if you are looking for alternative reading you have to See Hear.

The store is cramped and often disorganized but you can find some real scores if you can dig through the mess. They also sell action figure toys.

The vintage items are okay but the best stuff is in the front where they have eighties toys and mood rings and wacky pac stickers. They keep their jewelry in display cases and the changing rooms are little booths on the side. They also have a dollar scarf bin. Great place to find novelty items.
