I've lived in Staten Island for years and have long despaired of ever finding a decent wonton soup in the borough. Last week I'm happy to have finally found a great Chinese restaurant. The decor is beautiful and reminiscient of a Tiki Island. The food is delicious and served the way chinese food used to be served years ago. The service was very good. Definite two thumbs, five stars and a crescent moon from moi!

I just stopped by Stonehouse California and it's very impressive. They sell high end olive oil straight from California. It's very delicious. They also give you samples. Their claim to fame is that they are the first olive oil import from California to set up shop in New York. Wherever they are from their oil is delicious and I"m putting them on my must stop by again when I'm in the neighborhood list. Vito Corleone you have competition.

I cannot live without the sporadic maniure so I was happy to stumble upon Pinky's nail salon awhile ago. Pinky always those a great jobs on my nails and they don't keep you waiting indefinitely if you don't have an appointment. Either they tell you they will get to you soon or advise you to come back later. Also it's not too expensive.
The manicurists are also easy going and laid back.
