We were with this agency for 3 years, and we were most often treated with respect. For perspective foster parents, this is NOT the best agency to get licensed with if you are mostly interested in fostering to adopt. DHS gets all the Kalamazoo children first, and then they farm out the ones they cannot handle. If you are not interested in adopting and you want a more personal touch, consider this or one of the other private agencies. In some ways the kids that you may get are going to be the harder to place ones that DHS could not place, but this is not always the case.
