I have to plug the Chrysalis spa. I've been there on three occasions; had a massage one time, a facial for Mother's Day, and I treated myself to a manicure just last week.
Their staff are really great, their masseurs totally competent and experienced, and the estheticians really know their stuff. It isn't your every day "I can buy this at Bath & Body Works" type of facial mask!
A little pricy but worth the price.

If you want deep fried seafood dirt cheap, head for Boss Tweed. My family of four can dine there for under $30.
Boss Tweed is kind of unique in that you place and receive your order in fast-food fashion, but get it at dine-in speed. They don't cook it until you order it. Then you sit at a nice table or booth, wait for your name to be called, retrieve your food and condiments, and dig in. Staff come around periodically to bring you extra tartar sauce or bring you more of your all-you-can-eat cod dinner.
The menu runs the gamut from fish & chips, other seafoods, bbq salmon (in season), to steak and burgers.
The All You Can Eat special is usually $6.99 and generally we buy two, plus a meal for our picky eater. The youngest boy just eats off our plates, ensuring we get our money's worth!
We really do enjoy Boss Tweed's eccentric style and flair.

WOW. Went to Boundary Bay for the first time a couple weeks ago, it was impressive. Over 20 beers on their menu, including the beers they brew on premesis. Microbrews, Stouts, Lagers, Pale Ales, what's your flavor? I bet they have it.
And let's not forget the menu. Lamb burger! Caesar Salad w/ a very garlickey dressing. Salmon Chowder, Burrito, to name a few. It was startling to see that kind of menu in a bar (essentially).
Prices? Not too bad, especially considering the variety of beers and the quality of the food. You can get two dinners and four beers for under $45.

I currently see Dr. Mystique Grobe, a naturopath on E Street off Dupont in Bellingham. I like her style very much, she is friendly and professional. She is big on herbal and vitamin therapies as well as doing accupuncture in her office. Her supplements are pretty reasonably priced, too.
I've also been a patient of Dr. Pat Elliott, in the Bellingham Herald building on State Street. She has a similar methodology to Dr. Grobe. She was my first Naturopth; unfortunately when we switched insurance companies she was suddenly "out of network" and I had to move on.
