Review from a Jujitsu Widow 7/24/2005

I don't know why I'm writing this review. Ever since my boyfriend joined the Danzan Ryu Jujitsu club in NYC two years ago I've been a Jujitsu widow. With the club up to four classes a week I've had to insist he reserve at least one weekend evening for me. But he loves it. Every week he comes home and shows me a new throw, kick or hold - then falls into bed exhausted. If it weren't for how buff and strong it makes him, I'd never put up with it! ;) Classes are two hours long and you can attend any or all of three classes a week (the fourth is reserved for advanced students). Classes are open to all levels of experience. E-mail Sensei Bob Seiler from the website to arrange to observe a class. Dues are $100 a month for unlimited classes, plus $50 a year for mandatory membership in AJJF. You can try out the class in sweats and a t-shirt, but once you're hooked they'll point you in the right direction to buy a gi (training uniform) for about $50. more
