I stayed here for the first time recently and it was terrific. The room is not that big but we got upgraded from the 4th floor to the 17th floor so that was a big bonus for us and it raised my impression of the staff. There is a balcany, a wall separting the bedroom from the sink and the bathroom , and a television in an aimoire. We used the pool and they had a Jacuzzi but we were so close to everything we decided to eat out rather than in the hotel. Right below the hotel is Macys. Right next to the hotel on the other side is the International shopping center. And right across is the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. So although it is not right on the beach, it is the perfect spot for shopping.

This place has so much fabric to choose from. They have a huge variety of Hawaiian print fabrics, lots of sheer fabrics, lacy fabrics, kiddie-print fabrics, floral fabrics, threads, pillow inserts, buttons, and so much more. It is basically in a huge warehouse and you go in and look for what you want. You can end up browsing for a couple of hours if you don't check the time. They have a remnants section and if you search long enough, you will probably be able to find a pattern your like with enough yardage in each remnant to creat what you want. I was able to find enough remnants all with the right amount of fabric to created drapes for my living room. The nice thing about buying a remnant rather than from the bolt is that the price is cheaper.
The employees are really nice and are always busy running around getting bolts for people. This place is always busy.

There is a lot of parking because it shares the same parking with Toys R Us. It is a fun place to play miniature golf and the kids love hitting the ball with their clubs but sometimes we cheat and just push the ball in. My husband and I got a little bored after a while and so did the kids. It is still a cute place to go to considering there is not too many places like this for the kids.

I've been going to Tamashiro market for over 30 years and we always buy our shelfish there. They always have live prawns, crabs, and pickled mango. If you like to eat poke, definitely try their poke. You know the fish will be fresh and the flavor is very good. The store is not very big and the cashiers are tightly packed in the front by the entrance. The parking is tight and you usually have to park across the street in the church parking but it is worth it to get the fresh fish.

I took all of my core classes here because it was cheaper than at the University and the credits were transferable so it was all the same. The campus is beautiful with lots of trees an wide open grassy areas. Another plus about going to a community college is that the classes were smaller with less students so I was able to get more attention from the teachers and I feel I was able to do a lot better because of that.
There is a lot of parking but I use to go early so I'm not sure what the afternoon parking is like. The cafeteria was nice with huge floor to ceiling windows. It felt more like a restaurant rather than a cafeteria.

Although many people from Hawaii go to Mainland schools, I went to the Univeristy of Hawaii and ended up graduating there as well. I went for a Business Degree so I spent most of my time at the Business Administration area which is towards the top part of the school.
The parking was very hard to find so I had no choice but to go to school by 6:45am and find street parking. Then I would sit in the car and rest until about 7:30am and then have breakfast in school. The good thing is it forced me to get early classes and I got to leave earlier in the day.
Some of the classes were really crowded but I found that it is up to the student to take their studies seriously. And there are also a lot of great teachers there as well. You just have to take advantage of their knowledge and their ability to help you.

I've always loved going to the Honolulu Zoo and my kids love to go as well. Major changes to the Safari is great for the animals but overall the zoo is the same. My kids favorite part of the zoo is the Petting Zoo. They love to run around looking at and petting the animals. It does get a litte hot and you get hungry after walking around a lot but the food is very expensive so we usually leave by half the day and eat out rather than at the zoo. They also have a souvenier shop in front but that too is alittle pricey.

It is amazing to see the people who created the leis I buy. I usually get there early in the morning to pick up a lei to give to a co-worker on a birthday and they are usually open when I arrive at 7:30am. This is justa small local store that is located in downtown but the people there are so friendly and you can always seem someone there working on a lei. It is just amazing to watch and know that these people have created such gorgeous leis. It is like artwork.

I always enjoy watching the shows here because I would say a majority of the cast is local actors. I even remember when Joe Moore was here for a show. How awesome to see local stars. If you want to do something different and support local actors and the local arts, then definitely think about watching a show at the Diamond Head Theatres. Parking is sufficient and I would say all the seats are good seats.

When you get to this shopping center, there is a lot of parking. It is an open shopping area with most of the entrances facing the parking area. There are tons of stores and eateries so when you get tired of shopping you can eat. There is a huge variety of stores such as a high end shoe store, a Hello Kitty store, a hawaiin clothing store, and even an As Seen On TV store.
For the most part, although I enjoyed looking in the stores, I didn't really buy anything. A lot of the stores were prices and perhaps geared more towards tourist. I did have lunch at the Spaghetti Factory and I found the service there to be wonderful.
