At the Grove you almost don't feel like you're in a mall except for the parking lot. It's open, and there are a lot of trees and decorations. The stores are smartly distributed so you don't feel like everything is packed up. You can actually enjoy the walk and the sun. They have a big movie theatre. However, though this mall is really pretty and have all the stores one is looking for, the parking is incredibly expensive!!!! even after you validate you still have to pay. That's a bit disappointing considering even the promenade gives you 3 hours free.

LACMA has a very interesting permanent collection. It is one of the biggest museum in Southern California. The interesting part is the exhibits. They often change and have very famous exhibits coming over. Recently they had King Tut which was great! In the evenings, they sometimes have performances, shows... you can check their website for more updated information. The ticket is $9 but every tuesday after 5pm it's free! Worth to go the extra mile for it!

I went there by accident on a day that I wanted to go to the LACMA but it was closed. La Brea tar Pits is more of a museum for kids. They show you animals, fossils, explain you what is tar pits and the tar pit history that happened in LA. It's definitely not very enjoyable for adults. The only fun thing that I liked was the fact that they have transparent windows of their labs so you can check out how the scientists work to clean up the fossils... The parking around that area is very difficult..

The Getty center is definitely worth the visit! Not only is their permanent collection incredible but the building/garden/view itself is already breathtaking! First after you park your car (limited spot so inquire in advance or go by MTA bus) you take a little tramway that takes you up the hills to the museum. The view is incredible. You can stroll in the japanese garden and just sip a coffee there. It really feels like you're escaping from the frenzy of LA.

The permanent collection is ok and they change the expos quite often so you might want to check online first if you''re interested in them. It also has a pretty nice bookshop for art afficionados. you can also bring a book and sit on their terrace. It's pretty nice for a relaxing afternoon.

Sandi Sanders was referred to me by my doctor for insurance purposes. You do not need to go to her office to get advices, she can do it by phone or by email. She offered me good prices for the insurance. However, I feel like she didn't take enough time to really understand what I wanted considering my age/situation/price I wanted to pay. Instead she gave me a few choices and asked me to contact her with further questions. I think that the research should have been more focused on my priorities in the first place. However, she is very nice so she was more than willing to explain and research other plans after.

Hustler is a chic adult shop! It's definitely not the kind of shop that you'd feel scared to enter in a dark alley. It's actually quite fun! They have a lot of gift ideas for your friends or your lover! It's really fun and not sleezy at all. The "toys" and "videos" are a little separated from the main store. Though it doens't make you feel any embarassed to go there. They have a lot of choices and like I said, it doesn't make you feel bad at all to go there and just check it out!

You cannot miss Aahs windows when you drive by! It's like a treasure store where you can find all sorts of cute gifts (Hello Kitty, Strawberry shortcake, simpsons...) for everybody along with lots of decorations for all the holidays. they had great costumes and gadgets for halloween. They have a wide ranges of prices from tiny gifts to really cool gadgets ( no electronics though). They also have a good variety of cards to send.

My sister gets all the syndrom of allergy: itchy throat, watery eyes, runny nose... though to make sure what is it that she most allergic to, we decided to go to a Doctor. She is great! She found out that she was allergic to pollen and dust. She took the time to explain us the details of it and how to proceed. Very caring and nice. The only thing is that the wait was a bit long to get an appointment.

I went to this place to get my smog check (test center). They were pretty efficient. The service was quite fast. I was in and out of there in roughly about half an hour. They are also very conveniently located in LA (off interstate 405 or 5 on Olympic blv). You don't have to look for hours for the auto store, this one is visible miles ahead. The staff was courteous though busy. I didn't have an appointement or anything. I just walked in.
