I first "found" Caffe Luna on a girl's night out with a friend. We were driving around downtown and were immediately pulled in by the warm and inviting decor of Caffe Luna. With high ceilings and warm walls, the restaurant is still cozy inside. The wait staff was pleasant and not pressuring at all on the subject of drinks or appetizers. On a later visit I had the mozarella appetizer and it was pretty good. My favorite entree is the Italian sausage and shells; though there is no sauce, the slightly spicy kick of the sausage permeates the pasta noodles and broccoli, making it a very flavorful dish. The desserts I've had are also good. One of the best things about this place is what deal it is - even with appetizer and dessert split between two people, you can easily get out for under $20 per person. In fact, our particular meal was cheaper than comparable meal at a chain casual-dining restaurant. Affordable and lovely experience.
