Authentic food in a casual atmosphere

Located in the Central District in a somewhat (but gentryfying) shady neighborhood, Mesob serves up the standard Ethiopian food - the lamb and beef and veggies on the inerja bread. No silverware, you eat with your fingers (would be nice if they gave you more napkins). I'd recommend the combo or veggie combo, a big pizza size pan with the different stewed veggies/sauces/meets covering the inerja bread and some more bread on the side for dipping.
Don't settle for a seat in the tacky flourescent lit front room; go around to the back for the somewhat better atmosphere of the bar. Try their Ethiopian beer (bottled) or the tea, which is like hot cider that you add the jasmine tea bag to.
Some late nights a DJ will set up a sound system in the bar and play what I imagine is Ethiopian pop/dance music. Makes for an interesting dining experience!
