Pub food for Beer Lovers

Tuesday, June 13, 2006
I love Pyramid beers. They tend to emphasize the malt over the hops, and a trip to their brewpub at the edge of Seattle's Pioneer Square yields many tasty brews you can't find anywhere else! The Draught Pale Ale, the Belgian White.. .. Pyramid bought out Thomas Kemper years ago, and still puts out their handcrafted soda pop (the root beer and cream soda are yummy). The food seems to have declined over the years, but still decent pub fare with the likes of chicken nachos, salmon burger, etc. It's a great place to meet people if they are coming from the outskirts of Seattle - easy access off I-90 and I-5. Be sure to check the baseball schedule, since it turns into a madhouse down there when there are Mariners or Seahawks games. Bring a jug or buy one there to take some of their home with you.
