Funky and Quirky intimate dining

Tuesday, December 13, 2005
Bleu Bistro is a quirky, carmmed, rabbit warren of tables - they have actually taken out a few (the one up the ladder!) from when it first opened. It is dark and intimate, good for at date but not for a group of any size. A somewhat tacky 3 ring binder holds the large and confusing array of drink menu's and lunch and dinner options. Prices seem a bit high, but portions are usually large on the food. The veggie BLT is tasty and tons of food. Sometimes the mix/proportion of food is off, like too much pasta and not enough sauce etc. They are hopefully getting better at this. For a similar feel, try Chez Gaudy on lower Capitol Hill. If you are adventuresome and like kitsch, give this place a try, if only for a drink.
