The Red Light is a nice used clothing store, but they specialize in vintage stuff so if you are interested in bringing in things for trade, you really have to have just the kind of thing they're looking for or they won't buy it. the prices are also a little higher than other places, but they do have good quality stuff.

When someone first suggested to me that I come to the Pacific Inn to try their fish and chips, I wasn't too excited as I expected the same kind of fish & chips you would get at any drive-in, but it was true - they were great and definitely worth trying. My only complaint about the place was the loud, out-of-place music they were playing last time I ate dinner there.

I've always wondered where this place got it's name... I can't really speculate on that, but I can say that it's an OK place to come for fish (to keep in fishtanks as pets, not to cook or eat...) ...
I've always wondered where this place got it's name... I can't really speculate on that, but I can say that it's an OK place to come for fish (to keep in fishtanks as pets, not to cook or eat...) They don't have a huge assortment of fish, but the prices are pretty good.
It's located in the International District on King Street.

You might not be able to tell from the name, but Seattle Deli serves pretty much nothing but Vietnamese food. The prices are very reasonable, or actually really cheap, and they have a variety of dishes you can try out. Usually I've just gotten a take-out box there and eaten the food at home.

I like Fu Lin because it's the only Chinese restaurant I've been to in the US that reminds me of the Chinese restaurants in Japan. They actually have the menu in Chinese, Japanese and English, and you can get some of the dishes like Tenshin-han that I like best cooked in the Japanese-Chinese way.

Lam's Marketplace is another cheap Asian grocery located up the hill from the International District. I think overall I like Hao Hao Market and maybe Rising Produce a little better, but Lam's is good too. They have a good selection of Asian groceries besides produce too, so you can find things like Caravelle brand Tom Yum soup mix from Thailand, the only one I know of that doesn't have either shrimp or MSG in it.

Hung Lo is a little Asian store near Lam's Marketplace and Hao Hao Market, and it's pretty small, but they have low prices on a variety of things. It seemed really cheap the first time I went in, and the next time they were actually having a sale (buy 3 of anything, get 1 free) so it was even cheaper! Mostly they just carry small household items.

Like Rising Produce which is located nearby, Hao Hao has some pretty amazing deals on produce. Sometimes the quality is pretty iffy, but for the price it's worth it to look around to see what you can find that's still in good shape. For example, I actually got peaches here (a little bruised, but there were good ones mixed in) for 10/$1!

Rising Produce is a good place to find really surprisingly good deals on fruits and vegetables. They sell other Chinese groceries, too, and it actually reminded me a little of being in China. The quality is pretty good, and the prices are great - after coming here even sale prices at supermarkets seem expensive!
