For you BBQ lovers out there, this place is a real treat. I've been twice and both times the food was fabulous. The service wasn't great, but the prices were very fair.

Still Standing
We've driven past this place hundreds of times. The place always looked deserted from Broadway so I figured it couldn't last. In those brief glimpses from the car, I never saw anybody going in or out.
But no. It's stood while other restaurants have come and gone. Finally, the curiosity was too much to bear.
I went, I ate, and I lived to tell the tale.
Mustard's Last Stand is a fine spot to grab a quick bite. There was even a line... which used to be unheard of in Boulder. Turns out that it's a popular spot. And a good location too with nearby offices of Wild Oats and Boulder County/City Government, among others.
The dogs were juicy (I ordered a jumbo) and the fries... might qualify as the best in Boulder. At the end of the day, it's still fast food - but for what you get, it's a good deal.
There's a lot more than hot-dogs on the menu including burgers, desserts, etc. Next time I'll take-out and sit by Boulder Creek instead. The interior/seating was crowded and a little dingy.

This would be a 5 star but I have to knock one off because it's a little too popular and crowded. Great job Kimbal.

Great salad bar. Better than Whole Foods quality at less than half the price. Friendly service. I didn't expect much from the outside but was very surprised.

I used to be a vegetarian. For 7 years. But I eventually fell back to the dark side and started eating meat again. Anyway, I was driving around and needed to pick up a quick bite. I spotted V.G. Burgers and thought I'd give it a try. NOTE: I didn't actually know it was a vegan burger joint until I walked in.
So... how was it?
Not bad. I had the nut based burger and a side of baked fries. The burger was OK, but not spectacular. The fries were fairly typical. Here's the best part: The woman behind the counter whipped me a shake concoction combining mango and vanilla with rice milk (her favorite) . That (and the friendly service) was the best part of the meal.
If you're looking for Vegan, this is probably the best spot in Boulder. If you're expecting a juicy meat burger, you'll be disappointed.

I read the reviews on Frasca and so we went there for our 3rd anniversary. It was everything that I expected and much much more. My wife and I agreed that it was probably the best dining experience we've had in Boulder. The staff knew the menu and the wine list thoroughly. The food was expertly prepared and delicious.
Perfecto!

Lured by the promise of speedy service, I took my wife's Toyota 4Runner recently to Jiffy Lube on 30th. What a mistake.

Update: Went there the other night and chatted with one of the owners. They're doing a fantastic job preparing subs, etc and clearly loving it. Hope these guys make it. They've got a great product. This is the only place on the hill that I buy food from anymore.
