Very good Mexican Martinis, although honestly they are not as good as Trudy’s. This bar has moved several times, although many of the tables, furnishings, and patrons are the same. The bar area is nice, although the deck is why most people come out the Cedar Door. Their Mexican Martinis are enough of a draw that people are out on the deck in most weather. Good drinks, and generally a good bar.

Cuba Libre is definitely a unique bar in Austin. Thursday nights offer a special where for $10 you can get a martini and a manicure. Their kitchen stays open late and they offer a wide variety of tapas style food as well as full menu items. Their specialty is the various rums they offer, the largest variety in town. Definitely worth a visit.

Dave & Buster’s is one of those places that is part restaurant, part arcade. They have a full kitchen and full bar with several beers on tap. They have a huge assortment of games and entertainment for you to enjoy whether you came for the food or for the games. D&B is a great place to go to watch the game and enjoy just hanging out with friends.

They are better than some of the other places in town since you feel comfortable while inside the store and there are far less creepy, sleazy customers here.

Cain and Abels is a must if you're near the UT campus. This is a major hangout for UT students whether involved in Greek Life or not. There is always a UT game on the TVs and their drink specials are excellent. Their food is surprisingly good for a bar which makes the place wonderful to catch UT games or just hang out with friends.

I have only been to Anne Kelso Salon once, and while I was pleased with my haircut I wasn't impressed overall. The atmosphere was very modern and trendy, but honestly I expected more for the price I paid. The service there was good, but generally nothing special. I would recommend them for the haircut I received, but not for the service and customer treatment.

This is by far the best day spa I have ever been to. Their service is absolutely excellent. They have a wide variety of services to choose from, either in a package or a la carte. The only downside is that they are somewhat expensive. However, they are worth every penny spent here. I try to come out to them as often as possible.

I come here to get my eyebrows waxed as well as for a manicure and pedicure. Their prices are very reasonable ($8 for eyebrow wax) and they offer several combination specials. For waxing they are quite busy, although the wait is never very long. The service for their nail services is excellent as well. I would highly recommend them to all.

In a city full of bars, B.D. Riley’s Irish Pub is an authentically Irish Pub here in Austin. The atmosphere is complete with traditional Celtic music playing most of the time. They have a wide variety of imported beers and whiskeys which can be hard to find in many of the other bars or pubs in town. A great place to go to at least once to experience the atmostphere.

La Zona Rosa is a great venue for live music in Austin. Surprisingly this is also a great place to hang out. There are pool tables as well as several large booths and a jukebox with tons and tons of music choices. Make sure to head out here when they have music but even when there is no music it is a great place to spend time. I would recommend La Zona Rosa to all.
