Chipotle has by far the best burritos in town. They are absolutely huge. At close to a pound each you cannot possibly be hungry when you leave this place. My only complaints are that they charge you extra for guacamole which brings the burrito and a drink to almost $10 which is borderline expensive for fast food. Overall a great restaurant.

I love going to Central Market for their produce and cheese selections. They always have the freshest organic fruit, and you can always find specialty cheeses. Their selection of wines is also very diverse. I am not a huge fan of their bakery or cafe, because honestly it's not that special. A good place to shop for groceries, not s good place for lunch.

Mozart's is sometimes a great place to study, they have free wireless internet which is a plus, but it get's loud sometimes so that's not so good. They often have live music, and it's on the lake so you always have a great view as well. Their coffee is very good as well as their desserts and baked goodies.

The BBQ at the County Line is very good. I personally have had better, but it's easily one of the best places in Austin to get BBQ. The downside is it can get expensive at times, although the portions are huge. This is a wonderful place to take visitors so that they can experience BBQ in Texas.

Their pancakes are absolutely wonderful. I don't know what I would have done in college without Kerbey Lane for all nighters. This is a great place to study, however if it is during finals you have to actively be ordering or they'll kick you out... Their food is great, always fresh and priced very reasonably. Their queso and pancakes are my favorites here.

Barfly’s has changed a great deal since the smoking ordinance took effect. Once a very smoky bar, now Barfly’s is visible once again. The decorations are somewhat sparse with corrugated metal walls and somewhat simple barstools. Their jukebox is full of music that will please anyone and changes frequently. The crowd tends to be young which can be expected with the cheap drink prices.

Brentwood Tavern is a great place to go during happy hour which generally lasts from 3 to 7pm. During this time pints of Lone Star is only $1.50 which can’t be beat anywhere. Additionally, their frozen margaritas are only $3 during happy hour. Their food is excellent and their huge burgers are perfect with one of their many beers on tap.

You can spend hours people watching on Sixth Street in this punk rock feeling bar. I would recommend Casino El Camino for the food and people watching atmosphere.

Cedar Street Courtyard is a great place to sit outside and hear live music in Austin. The patio seats about 60 but when they have live music the place holds several hundred standing. The staff are excellent, both friendly and knowledgeable. Their bar inside also has a nice relaxed lounge atmosphere. A good bar with good music and atmosphere.
