I have had my hair cut here a few times. I have heard too many hit or miss stories about them to trust them with color. The service was absolutely terrible. The girls at the front were downright rude and could not care less about the customers. The haircut was ok, but nothing special and not worth the price. They think a little too much of themselves. I will likely not go back.

I can usually find what I am looking for at Linens and Things, however their inventory changes so quickly that often if you see something and decide to come back for it later, they do not carry it anymore. Their prices and selection is very similar to Bed Bath and Beyond except that they seem to rotate stock more often. If you see something you want buy it that day, it may not be there when you come back.

They offer free gift wrapping on all gifts off of a bridal registry so that makes shopping for weddings even easier. Bed Bath & Beyond is the place to go when looking for items for your home.

The new menu at Jason's Deli is completley free of all trans fat. This makes it easy to visit Jason's without worrying about what you are eating that you don't know about. Their broccoli cheese soup is phenomenal and their sandwiches are an excellent addition. Their desserts are good as is their fresh fruit cup. A great place for an inexpensive healthy lunch or dinner.

Zax has 20 beers on tap which is great. Their food is a mix of Italian, American, and Mexican. Their quesadillas, chicken tortilla soup, pork sandwiches, and chicken parmesan are excellent, as is their chocolate tart and other yummy desserts. The atmosphere is comfortable and the servers are very good. A good place to have a relaxing meal.

Travis Restaurant is a great place to have dinner. Granted it is somewhat far out there in Lakeway but their staff is absolutely fantastic. The food is definitely worth the trip and they have a menu full of items not generally seen in Austin. They are moderately expensive though, so make an occasion out of the trip.

Speakeasy definatley has a strange location. It's entrance is in a dark alley between 4th and 5th streets downtown. The bar tries to recreate the speakeasies of the early 1900s and the decor is pretty authentic. The bar has a good atmosphere and the drinks are good. Not a bad place to spend an evening downtown.

The Daily Texan is the studen paper for UT. This paper always has a large variety of news both within the university and around the world. However, my only complaint is that all of the editorials and opinion pages have a pretty strong liberal bias. I understand that it's the writer's opinion but it does get old seeing the same right basing articles over and over. The Daily Texan is a great way to keep up with what is going on at the Unversity of Texas.

Bucca di Beppo is a perfect restaurant for family gatherings. They serve everything family style so that each person helps themself to how much of each item they want. The chicken parmesan is the best I have ever had and their 1893 salad is phenomenal. The only downside is that in order to get salad, entree and dessert for just two people, you end up getting enough food for 4 people and it gets somewhat expensive.
