Paperee is a great place to find unique gifts. When trying to think of gifts, particularly for females, I know I can default to Paperee! They have a great selection of cards and stationary, and they also have a children's section. While the store is small in size, it is packed with great gift ideas. It is so great for last minute,too--they even do free gift wrapping! At the holidays, they always have tons of cute decorations for the house--and tons of great ornaments at Christmas. An all-around great store!!

I wasn't a huge Mexican food fan until Qdoba. Now I can't get enough of it--it is quick and fresh, and the burritos are a generous size! There is a lot of variety, and it is SO tasty. My personal opinion is that Qdoba is WAY better than Taco del Mar and Chipotle. The burritos are delicious--specifically the chicken burrito with black beans, rice, cheese and lettuce. DELICIOUS. My stomach growls just thinking about it.

Buca Di Beppo is a great place for a big group and kids--the atmosphere is loud, and the portions are huge. The food is good, however, not the highest standards. If you're looking for a place you can take a big group and don't have to worry about noise, where you can eat a lot and enjoy yourself, this is the place to go. Just don't expect to be blown away by the food.

Dragonfish is a great place to go during happy hour for cheap appetizers and beer. I always get a couple plates of appetizers instead of a full meal because I think the appetizers are way better than their regular dishes. For their appetizers alone, I love this place. The springrolls, potstickers and calamari are to die for. It's a nice place to go before a show at the Paramount which is just a couple blocks away. Great atmosphere, great food.

Rice N Spice has never let me down--I can go there and expect great food and service. Like most Thai restaurants, you can have a fairly quick, and inexpensive meal, but Rice N Spice is quality. It has a very nice atmosphere, and there is room to go in a big group. If you love Thai (or even if you don't), you will love Rice N Spice. I have gone with friends who aren't crazy about Thai food, who have been surprised at their enjoyment of their dinner and rave about it afterward. You will enjoy Rice N Spice!

I went to Salon Rebecca to get a pedicure, and it was the most posh one I've ever had. I had my feet dipped in something like candle wax to keep the moisture in after lotion was massaged into my feet, my toes were waxed, and I left with a beautifully done pedicure and very soft feet! I felt so pampered, but the cost of the pedicure makes me unsure if I'll go back. However, if you're in need of some pampering and want to treat yourself to a wonderful, relaxing pedicure if price isn't an issue, you should try this place out.

I was really disappointed when I moved to Washington and discovered that it is severely lacking in Chinese restaurants. Lucky for me, there is PF Chang's. While it is a chain, it satisfies my need for yummy Chinese food! You can't go wrong with a dish, and the won-ton and hot and sour soups are delicious. Your server will make your own sauce to your taste (how spicy) that can go on and in everything, including the soup. PF Chang's is golden and a great place to go with a group of people so you can try a lot of dishes!

Sassy Teahouse is a darling place with great tea and desserts and a really cute, vintage atmosphere. I really enjoy going there with my mom and sisters for delilcious new teas, as well as bringing my aunts and grandma when they're in town. It really is a fun thing to do with the girls, and there is a boutique with unique gifts and teapots. You can also buy their loose tea to go--my favorites are Sassy's House Blend and their Carmel-Decaff (that actually has bits of carmel in it). This place really is a real treat!

Elliott Bay Book Company is the best independent bookstore! There is a great selection and I appreciate their big used-books section. They have many shelves with recommendations written up by the staff, a nice cafe downstairs, and they have author readings practically every night (sometimes in other locations, and the schedule can be viewed on their website). I LOVE browsing at this bookstore--it is a unique bookstore with so much variety!
