My daughter has been going to IDT for a little over a year and we both love the teachers. The owner, Alicia, is down to earth and not too strict or too hard on the little ones, yet she still manages to maintain control over her classes. The studio is small, but they are working on getting more space. I like the fact that it is minutes away from home and it's located in Pine Lake plaza so I can do some shopping while my daughter is in class. Since my daughter is only 4, I can only review the creative movement and pre-ballet classes, and we've been very pleased.

We move around a lot and have been very pleased w/ the staff and especially Dr. Hung who practices out of the Pine Lake office. Dr. Hung explains procedures, is patient and attentive w/ my children and never seems annoyed w/ questions or concerns that I bring up.
Unlike many offices we've been to, we are actually seen within a few minutes of our actual appointment time.
The only thing I'd like to see is separate waiting areas for sick and well patients.

We first visited this restaurant for dinner, but were only really impressed w/ the salt and pepper pork chops as well as the chicken fried rice (more Chinese style than other restaurants). The other items we ordered were so-so.
We happened to drop by one weekend for dim sum and we were hooked! My very picky daughters found many items tasty and they claim this to be their favorite Chinese restaurant. The selection/quality/taste is comparable to the dim sum served in San Francisco.
The staff is always friendly and the restrooms have always been clean on our visits. Check it out.

I drive all the way from the eastside to have "real" coffee and Victrola is one of my top picks. Their baristas are artisans and are not the usual coffee snobs that are so prevelant in superb coffeehouses scattered througout the Emerald City. There seems to be a problem w/ wifi, but I am just there to savor and sip the lattes: always the right temperature, not too bitter, not too frothy. The art work on the walls as well as the many colorful patrons give this coffee joint the Seattle vibe that a lowly suburbanite like me craves. My only beef is with the lack of parking.

I have two young girls who absolutely love the Sassy Teahouse and Boutique. I was hesitant to bring them in at first, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this place to be child-friendly. They have Children's books and toys by the waiting area (two comfy, overstuffed floral couches by the fireplace) and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
The teahouse is small, cozy, and offers a warm retreat from our often hectic schedules. I'm not sure if it's because of the ambiance, but when my girls are there (3 and 4 y.o.), they actually behave and act like little princesses!
The menu has an array of delicious pastries (I'm a huge fan of their scones) and comfort foods. I intended on trying a variety of teas, but was instantly hooked on their house blend!
There isn't much parking, and there is limited seating, so I would recommend reservations or going for breakfast since it has been a very long wait during lunch hours.

I was fortunate enough to get my daughter into this preschool. I looked everywhere on the Plateau, Redmond, and Issaquah and felt this was the perfect fit. My daughter improved so much in her social skills in just a few months. The teachers are absolutely amazing and create a nurturing, Bible-based learning environment. Unlike the Montessori schools we looked at, this school focuses more on personal and inter-personal growth.
I only wish they had more space to create more preschool classes! I highly recommend getting up early and waiting in line for registration.
