We had my daughter's third birthday here and I was very pleased w/ the experience. We had the entire place for an hour and a half, all of the food was taken care of, favors were prepared, and I didn't need to set up or clean up.
I liked the idea of having a cozy feel to our party w/ out having to host it in our home. The staff was flexible enough to allow me to purchase java tickets for my adult guests so that I wouldn't have to foot an extremely high "open bar" bill. The children were served snacks after play time (chicken nuggets, grapes, goldfish, and lemonade). This doesn't sound like much, but kids really aren't into eating when there is so much going on. Cupcakes were also provided for the tiny guests, and I had the option of bringing in a cake for the adults.
There are several themes to choose from (princess, tea party, farm animal, etc). My daughter chose the tea party and they had a long table all set up w/ hats, tea cups, and another table w/ dress-up clothes. It was so cute and picture-perfect.
This place is suited for the 5 & under crowd, so if you have guests that are a lot older, it may not be as fun for them.
I would have appreciated more interaction w/ the kids from the party hostess, but they don't do games or anything, which I guess is fine w/ children in this age group. They really just had fun playing w/ the toys (small ball pit, doll station, dress-up, pretend food, etc).
I thought it was worth the money to not have to stress over decorating, cleaning up, food, etc, so I was pleased. BTW, my adult guests were served scones and fruits as well.
PLAY TIME:
I thought the prices for lunch were a little high and didn't like the fact that I had to pay as soon as I walked in for play time. I had wanted to have my girls eat first, and then pay for an hour of play after. The paninis were really good and the kid's liked their quesadillas, but an hour wasn't enough for them.
I really liked how clean everything was, and I like the decor. The bathrooms have all the baby necessities (changing table, diapers, wipes) and it actually came in handy since I happened to forget my diapers in the van on my first visit. This would be a great place for meeting up w/ another friend w/ children so you can actually get a good conversation in w/out too many distractions. Check it out! Reservations are usually necessary since the place isn't very big and parking is limited (5 spaces), unless you park on Main.

We go every month, sometimes every week and my girls (3 and 4 y.o.) can't get enough. We've brought many out of town guests in (they allow 5 in for free per visit w/ your membership) and it's always been a hit, especially when there are little ones. The membership is well worth the price since you get free passes for other museums in the nw, imax passes, and discounts in their gift shop.

This place is really clean and the kids are taught the fundamentals of cooking. There are automatic faucets/soap dispensers right in the classroom so all the mini chefs can wash their hands.
There are also products such as mixing bowls, spoons, etc. that are easier for tiny hands to use. The class prices are pretty steep, in my opinion, but if your little one really loves cooking this would be a great place to try out.

This is a small little Asian bakery in the middle of Factoria mall. We decided to try their fruit medley and strawberry cake during one of our shopping trips and ended up ordering a whole cake for my daughter's birthday party.. It was a huge hit. Our guests commented on how light and tasty the cake was. We usually have to go to downtown Seattle for great Asian bakeries, so we were very happy to find one closer to home.

I'm a huge Gymboree fan. They have names for all of their lines and everything pretty much coordinates so watch your wallet, it adds up fast. The Bellevue branch is one of the largest in our area, so there are usually items that smaller stores don't carry. The staff is pretty friendly, but some do give an attitude when you return. In my case, I tend to return a lot, but I purchase a lot more than I return. So, I'm not sure what the attitude is all about, it's not like the employees are losing out. The Redmond staff seems to have better customer service and the ladies have been there for awhile. The Baby Gap still has the best customer service, in my opinion.

I hail from California, home to THE best burger joint: In n Out. I haven't been impressed by any fastfood burgers here in the Northwest, but we have been to Burgermaster a few times in the summer. I would say these burgers are far better than the very popular Dick's burgers, but not as fresh as what I am used to. The shakes are good and the fries aren't bad. My kids like it there because we leave the dvd player on so they can eat and watch their favorite Disney flick--like the other poster said, your car will smell of fried food for a few days.

Don't make the mistake of ordering a grande, or vente, or tall anything...
I stood in line behind a guy who made the unfortunate mistake of ordering a grande latte or something. The heavily tattooed barista looked like she was going to jump over the counter and kick him in the n*ts. He realized his mistake and ordered correctly. Reminded me of the infamous soup Nazi. These people definitely take their coffee seriously which is evident in the latte art and the never-bitter blends.
I dig the 50s diner-style tables w/ mixed-matched chairs as well as their tempting selection of pastries.
Try the nico and white velvet, you will not be disappointed.

I first tried Racha's chicken satay and phad thai at a Bite of Seattle. Of course ,when we went to the restaurant, the cost of our dinner was considerably more than we expected, but the food was worth it. We've taken many friends and family who have visited us, and everyone has been pleased w/ the food(curry, tofu, lamb, etc). The ambiance is perfect for a romantic date, but unfortunately, we have kids who have been a little loud on occasion--the staff has been friendly and accommodating nonetheless. They even have games available to keep the kids busy.

This place is always busy. I've been a loyal patron since it first opened. Unlike the other Filipino restaurants in the area, the staff here is always friendly and the place is always clean. I don't think they've ever been rated under a B.
I live out of state, but make it a point to order Kare Kare (ox tail w/ peanut sauce, and filipino veggies)whenever I'm in the area. They only serve it on Sundays and Wednesdays and it runs out fast, so order early. This place is a turo-turo (cafeteria style), so it's fast, unless you happen to go during lunch hour--then you'll have to wait in a long line (behind too many scrub-clad filipinas), but hey, the food is good. Check out their halo halo, too.
