This is the place to go if you're serious about scrapping. I'm on and off. But, when I have specific pages in mind to create, I've learned to just go straight to this store. They pretty much have anything you need for scrapping at the same or even below other stores in the area. The staff is very helpful, too. I haven't tried their classes, yet--but I grabbed a calender and they seem to have plenty to choose from.

I have children under five, but we've enjoyed going to Illusionz as a family. The kids can play in the castle and that pretty much keeps them busy while Daddy plays on the arcade games. We haven't tried the batting cages or the mini golf, but it looks fun. The few times we've been in there, there were a lot of children in the 9-13 age range running wild, which isn't so bad since the area suitable for younger children is towards the back.
I was impressed to find such a large arcade/family fun center in Issaquah. It's the perfect place for it since there are so many children around here. Great place to go on rainy days. It's not as big as Dave and Busters, but it definitely appeals to a wide age range.

The Brat Pack is a great place to take little ones (especially feisty ones) for haircuts. Each stylist has a different "chair" (a cow, horse, pig, etc.) and your child can choose from a variety of videos to watch while getting that much needed trim/cut. I was surprised at how my daughter's stylist managed to keep her busy and still enough to get a cute cut.
An added perk is that there is a train table where siblings can play while waiting. There are also many boutique items (dress up clothes, hair accessories, toys) for sale in the front of the store. At $21/haircut they're pretty competitive w/ the other children's salons I've looked at. They're also located in the Redmond Town Center so you can do some shopping, hit Borders, grab some coffee all w/ out having to get in and out of the car.

It's really tasty and has tofu, cabbage, bamboo shoots, carrots, and other delicious veggies in mixed in their mild coconut curry sauce. I usually stop in after shopping (it's conveniently located on the second floor of the Redmond Town Center) and it does get busy, but I've never had to wait too long. The Garlic Prawns are also a favorite of mine.

I usually try to order everything on a menu (over a course of several visits, of course), but I have been stuck to the Tatstrami (pastrami, special sauce, and coleslaw on a freshly-baked-tasting bun). This is indeed an excellent lunch joint ( I think they're only open on weekdays). The line goes clear out the door so order early or after the lunch crowd. I have tasted my husband's Philly cheese steak and that has been really tasty, too. This is a very small dive (10 tables, I think), and it's pretty dark and feels like a storeroom of a warehouse, but I'm really just there for the food.

This is one of my favorite consignment stores for children because they usually have a wide selection of clothing, shoes, toys, and books. The aisles are narrow, and the store is pretty small, so I'd recommend carrying your baby and leaving your stroller in the car.
I like that they carry brand new tights and Robeez shoes, too. The staff has always been friendly and they're very picky about what they buy so you can be pretty certain that the clothing choices are in good to excellent condition. Great location, too.

We've found some great items here, but sometimes I feel they charge too much for clothes that you can get new for the same price at Target. There have been other times when I've found high end brands for a steal, too. So it's hit or miss. The inconsistency of the prices can be discouraging for someone with high end items since you might end up w/ only $2 for a $60 outfit.
I've consigned over 100 items and I was happy at first. But, the last time I consigned high end items (Baby Lulu and other boutique brands), a lot of pieces went missing w/ out record of being sold. Needless to say, I was very upset. I decided to sell my high end items on ebay after this.

I lived in Monterey for a few years and I really miss this place! It's a cozy little restaurant at the
Barnyard in Carmel. There is a stone fireplace as well as outside seating w/ a little waterfall. Breakfast is served all day and as their name states, everything is made from scratch. The quiche, potatoes, eggs benedict, even just the scrambled eggs and bacon are all excellent, excellent, excellent. We've gone back to visit several times and the staff same staff is still there--friendly, and attentive. Anyone visiting Monterey really must stop by here for breakfast. There are quaint little boutiques in the Barnyard, so shop around, and then stop in for some incredibly delicious comfort food.
I have yet to find a restaurant that compares to this one as far as ambiance and breakfast goes.

I chose Emerald City Gymnastics because their facility is large enough to hold more than one class at the same time so that both my 3 and 4 year olds who are in different levels could have class at the same time. I definitely did not want to spend 2 hours waiting for each of them.
We've been going for about a year, and we've been pleased w/ the instruction and teacher to child ratio.
