This place is so boring. When you pay for a public school, you get a public school education. Bureaucracy is awful and paperwork never gets processed. A lot of times people end up taking an extra class or fufilling an excess requirement because the documents weren't in their file when it came town to graduate. I've had to send transcripts 4 or 5 times (at $4 a pop) because they never sent it and have been disqualified for scholarships before because of a UIC glitch. The architecture is depressing but on the bright side, University Village is nice.

The food at Pita Express is always good if you want a change of flavor/taste in the Clark and Lake food court. The prices are decent and the food is delicious. It has its own seating area and there is usually no wait, unlike Panda Express and Taco Bell. The cashier usually leaves something to be desired though...

This place is just a tad overrated. The dim sum is mediocre and doesn't have much going for it other than size. There are plenty of restaurants in chinatown with better prices and sometimes, better decor (like Phoenix). The only plus is that theres always parking in the lot or the surrounding areas and its a good place to hold large parties and gatherings. I've been to many wedding receptions there and thats always been wonderful. But pass on everything else.

This is THE place to go to for gourmet breakfast food. Though pricier than IHOP and the hash browns, it is completely worth it. My favorite is the salmon and poached eggs with hollandaise sauce. Everything is delicious and going there was just a wonderful experience. The people are nice and the setting is quaint. Parking there is difficult though since theres no separate lot (or at least not that I know of) but if you manage to find a space, you're very lucky.

This is a big place to accomodate huge events for a lot of people but the location leaves something to be desired. Its located in the middle of the highway with nothing around it. There is nothing around it and I've heard that parking is very expensive. Expect huge crowds and traffic coming in and leaving. I had graduation here and just getting there and coming and going was just a disaster.

Connie's Pizza is pretty good as an eat-in restaurant but not quit as great as delivery. It is pretty expensive and the pizza is just a tad overrated. I personally prefer Lou Malnati's or even Freddi's. The deep dish pizza at Connie's is the best though and the location always has ample parking (unlike a lot of the restaurants in downtown).

I've been coming to this place since I was in high school and had some of my favorite memories here. The food is pricey but not as pricey as normal restaurants on Michigan Avenue. My favorite is the self-serve stir fry where they give you a bowl and you can stack it up with whatever you want. We formulated a method where you stack green beans on top and mushrooms on the bottom. We also like the hisbiscus lemonade and the green beans. We're usually able to feed 2 people for about 10 to 15 dollars per person.

I walked into the store thinking "cool, tshirt printing" and cheap awesome clothes. The clothes are nothing but old and cheap- like imitation thrift store with hipster prices which I have no respect for. The sales staff is mildly indifferent, if not mean and the store is cramped and seedy. Its not a fun place to shop nor a good place to spend your hard earned money on. Save yourself the trouble of walking further away from the red line and just go to the Army Surplus. At least you can breathe there.

This place is terrible. The food is awful, the people are obnoxious and you pay an arm and a leg. Actually, the food is okay- just your basic pizza and burgers which would have been just fine if you didn't pay $20 for a burger. Since its a bar, its obvious that there are drunk people there all the time but its kind of sickening to see people throw up and fall off their chairs when you're trying to eat.If i could give it NO star, I would.

I went there for valentines day and I totally loved this place. Very sex-and-the-city atmosphere with very good drinks. My favorite are the various Sushi Shooters, which are almost unheard of in any other sushi restaurant in Chicago. It is a piece of fish- Uni or Oyster is my favorite- suspended in caviar and a martini glass and drunk with a shot of sake. For those that like fish and caviar, it is just like WOW.
