Angelo's is a family owned store that is anything but little. They have a full deli, with hot beef & chicken, plus lunchmeat & cheeses - all at VERY GOOD prices. Their produce is always great, too. They have fresh meat, and fresh bruschetta. The only thing they don't have is fresh fish. They also have the Centrella line of foods, which is REMARKABLE when it comes to cheeses.

Right near the corner of Maple & Belmont, Ambience Salon & Day Spa has a great atmosphere, and they do quality work. I go there to get my eyebrows waxed, and Kelly does a great job. I always ask for her (she knows not to take them all off, she just cleans them up). They also do a lot of cuts & styles, there, and have manicures and pedicures in the lower level.

Once in a while, my business needs printing done. Dana and her team of great people add personal one-on-one attention to a quality job. They did a great job of helping us convert a brochure into a *.pdf, and a superb job screen printing sweatshirts and TShirts, too! I highly recommend.

I'm really not a history person - I'm more of a math oriented person, but the exhibits at the Field Museum are another reason why Chicago truly has the best museums around. Just walking in the front door, you realize what a small part of this world we really are. And then looking at cavemen to ancient dinosaurs, you realize that there really is more to this world than what we see in our day to day lives. It's truly something to appreciate.

As much as you try, you'll never be able to truly absorb all the available information in this place. From the Holiday Christmas Tree Display to the day-on-the-life of the farm - it's amazing how much you can learn at MSI. Many of the exhibits are hands-on, and it's sure to get the attention of anyone - 8yrs old to 80yrs old.

I always find that the zoo is a wonderful place to go for a walk. Lincoln Park Zoo does not charge for parking or admission, so you can use your extra money for paddleboat rides. That's one of the most fun things I remember about the zoo. Throw on a backpack with water & some snacks, and you've got a wonderful day planned!

Whether you have children or not, I always find that the zoo is a wonderful place to go for a walk. They have clear paths, and holiday scenes. Brookfield Zoo charges for parking and admission (where Lincoln Park does not), but you'll notice the difference - it's significantly less crowded, and there's much more room to walk around. The Burlington Northern Metra goes within blocks of the zoo, so if you're going there, the Metra is definitely a great option. Throw on a backpack with water & some snacks, and you've got a wonderful day planned!

Marklund moved to its new location over the last year in order to expand and reorganize, and they did a wonderful job! My mother in law donates items there all the time, in the rear of the building, and I go there & browse a lot. I once found a Coach purse, but I didn't buy it because I didn't need it. They have a lot of great items there! Some items are priced high, but for the most part, things are pretty reasonable.
