The vegetarian selection here is almost always excellent. Their borsht is delicious and they have a small selection of really good desserts too. Although I have never eaten their meat pockets, I have heard they are just as good as the vegetarian ones. I recommend anything with mushrooms, but all are good. Make sure to ask them to heat your pocket up, it's much better that way. great on the go!

The interior is pretty casual and not that well organized, but just try to imagine the furniture out of context and you may find something great.

Be sure to lock your bike if you leave it in this vicinity though, Capital Hill bike thieves are renowned the world around! Velo sells a good variety of stuff for non-extortion prices. The employees know what they are doing but aren't too snobby.

I love their sides and they are always friendly and never obtrusive. they offer beer as well as excellent food. For the indian food lover who wants something a little cheaper and informal, this place is heaven. Try their samosas for a little spice and be sure to get some rice to cut the burn.

They have all the good books you want minus the garbage you don't feel like looking through. You can sell books here too, but only on Saturday between 12 and 3. They are friendly and the workers know their books. They are open all night on Friday nights for those times when you get an itch to read late.
Don't annoy them or their cats, there are plenty of warnings posted about it.
Much much better cash for books than anywhere I hacve found. they won't take just anything but what they take they pay a little more for. Try 'em out.

They show an interesting selection of films even if they don't always have the latest heart-throb. the mid-night movie is a boon for anyone who works late or just wants to stay up once in a while. If you are looking for a clamer, less commercial night out, try out the Egyptian. Close to lots of great restaurants.

I went to this downtown club on a monday and got in for half-price just because the show had already started. I saw tons of funny comedians for only 2 tiny dollars. This open mic night was entirely worth it and I would reccommend it to anyone.
The service was quick and friendly.
On a monday parking is easy, on the weekends it is probably a lot more difficult

They aren't open weekends but it's pretty easy to get an appointment on other days. Very nice and they won't do repairs unless you OK it.

I always buy oil here and get my repairs done with them, If I have to, I buy parts from Vespa and take them to Ducati.
