This theatre is a much better experience than going downtown to emerse yourself in that scary atmosphere. The parking is about as difficult as either, but the crowd is a much better one. if you feel adolescent going to the mall for the evening try the Neptune instead. they have nice theatres, the seating is fairly comfortable and they seem to choose good movies. Popcorn is as expensive as anywhere, as are the tickets, but that doesn't seem to vary much no matter where you go these days. clean bathrooms and a happier staff than other places, this is a good choice if you don't mind the university district. Festivals often come to this thatre also.

This Excellent French gem of a restaurant is north near the university district. You can order several small dishes and then everyone at the table shares. They have excellent options every night, alhtough they change slightly with the seasons. The homemade gnocci was excellent as was the fondue and their goat-cheese tasted really fresh. The wine list at pair is quite good, and the beer list looked ok, although short. The servers were all friendly and well-trained. great dinner if you are the type of person who always wants to try everything on the menu. each plate is usually less than 10 dollars, but you will need more than 1 dish to get full. The atmosphere was not stuffy, but not too casual either.

If you want cheap pizza be sure to check out their weekly specials, otherwise you will get stuck with a much bigger bill than you would at a nation-wide chain. Pagliacci has the best pizza in Seattle. Their crusts are delicious and they have all the toppings you could want. Good veggies and their meat isn't nearly as suspicious as it could be. Delivery is fast and friendly to most areas as far as I know. They also have lots of good stuff like pasta and calzones. Their salad is a little weird at times, it just depends who makes it, it can be really good.

If you are a film buff a membership at scarecrow video is a must. You probably won't want to rent all your movies here, because that would get expensive. However, movies that simply cannot be found elsewhere are located here. They always have great movies, and you can browse by director, country or genre.
They have rare movies if you are willing to put down a deposit, but they also just have a wider selection than anyone. Everyone should support Scarecrow somehow. Their policies on late movies are extremely strict so don't act like a highschooler, just get it back on time and you'll be happy forever.

This casual cafe is just what I needed when I was vegan. Even as a vegetarian, their food really hits the spot. They have awesome bread there, and since the new management, they have cleaned the place up a lot. HTe bathrooms aren't nearly as scary as they used to be! Everyone who works there has always been nice to me, but not too nice. They never weem fake or get in the way if you just want to read the newspaper and enjoy a vegan cookie. Their mashed potatoes are to die for, and there is plenty of protein to be had there. they also have good juice and sodas available. You have to pay a quarter for a to-go box, but it goes to a good cause.

The student membership at the Seattle Art museum has certainly been worth it. Sure, they sent me a lot of advertising, and even called me a couple times for a donation, but this museum is really awesome. It's not a New York museum, but they still have a lot of great exibits. Go to each new exibit and your membeership will pay for itself. The Andy Warhol section is interesting, as is a lot of the local art they display there. You can get into the Asian art museum as well, where there are a few beautiful exibits.

I went to a few agents to get my tickets to Europe and I got the friendliest and fastest service from these guys by far. They have lots of information and they all seemed extremely experienced at dealing with young travellers. There are other products available for travelling at this store as well.

The food here really isn't any better than what you would get for free at a cheap hotel. They have some coffee, chich isn't bad. They have a small menu with a variety of choices. I don't know why this restaurant is so famous, everyone knows about it, but only few go there. It's alright if you don't have another choice, but it sure isn't great. The service is fine, but nothing about this place stands out except that sometimes it's the only thing everyone can agree to. Innocuous but a little gross at times.

I moved to Seattle from Texas and this restaurant is the closest thing. Huge helpings and cheesy tacos are complimented by a strangely eclectic decor. Bean Mary salad is delicious and any burrito you get is bigger than your face. They serve great drinks here, the beer selection is relatively small, but they have good choices and the margaritas are far from gross. You won't have room for dessert, but you can satisfy your craving for a Mexican food fix here for sure. The service is usual good, although sometimes they are a little rude if you show up close to closing time. So go early, eat a lot, and then take a nap.

Cheap games, lots of lanes, I've never had to wait for a lane here. The bathrooms are a little skanky, but not too bad. Drinks are cheap and sometimes a good karaoke night can be had as well. Be sure you get your song requests in early or you might miss out altogether. There are ample busses that go here, and you'll be glad even if you don't live nearby because you'll save money. The service isn't remarkable, but that's bowling for you.
