I had heard horror stories and put them by the wayside when I had heard they had made some major improvements.
Well.. live and learn.. When you receive your larger than life bill think about the view not the meal you just ate. You are paying for the view and the experience.
It is pretty disorienting to eat in a spinning needle (full turn in one hour) yet it is fun if you have never done it.

Some of you may recall the cinema up on Aurora from about 10 years ago that used to serve real food and show a film simultaneously.
I cant recall the name but that has probably been subconciously destroyed because the experience was so miserable.
Now Central Cinema comes to town and is just what the Dr ordered. They host a mixed menu for BOTH kids and adults. Also they serve beer (Thank you God).
They have some unique menu items and while the food is not astounding it was good enough to bring me back to see another show with friends or family.
They tend to show films that both young and old can appreciate (upcoming Charlie & Choc Factory & Pee Wees Big Adventure).
Cheers!

They offer a brunch which Im dying to try and they also have some pretty amazing "looking" desserts.
I recommend the Oaxaca tacos!

Pazzos excells in the Pizza making. It is not your typical pizza place These pizzas are all cooked in a wood burning oven which makes it all the better.
They offer a limited menu of lower end italian food (calzones, salads, and such).
The host a full bar and play sports as I recall.
Unfortunately this packs in alot of the frat party crowd in the eves.
Pazzos looks much more stylish that your average pizza joint with its exposed brick interior.
If you are in the mood for carbs and want to skip ordering in I suggest you try this place.

Owned by the folks the own Stellas Trattoria in Wallingford/University area, Mitchelli Trattoria is located downtown in Pioneer Square not too far from the waterfront.
Due to its location Mitchelli Trattoria seems to pick up lots of toursit families. The food has never been on par with its other locations (theres about 3-4 locations in Seattle).
This would be a good place to meet up with out of towners as its very central and its very kid friendly but the food itself is very mediocre.
Mitchelli Trattoria hosts a pasta of the week, a soup of the day, and a barrage of wonderful desserts.
Heck Id go just for their carmello!

Only the finest cookies, pastries, breads, and more!
Im fairly certain that most everything is organic and the end product stands out above others!
Honeybear is also famous for their homemade soups which are wonderful. Their menu is pretty limited overall but what they do have they excell in.
You will likely be waiting your turn!
HB also offers Espresso..

The seafood is good on its own, nothing fancy, but just great seafood.
Due to the location, right on pier 57, it tends to pack in the tourists, not that that is a bad thing.
The food is always great but I dont know if its worth the wait.
Im personally not crazy about the location, even though its on the waterfront its in the heart of tourism/trinketshops. I cant handle those types of places (unless im the tourist that is!)
The greatest item on the menu is the Crab Pot. Imagine that!

Not for those seeking real authentic mexican, but located in the glorious Pacific Place Shopping Center downtown and more a nice place to go before a movie or in between your shopping stops on the weekend.
This is a nice place and due to the location it is always full yet as stated the food is pretty standard eats as far Mexican Restaurants in Seattle.
We usually eat here before heading to the theater one floor up and I would recommend the Fajitas for two for you and your date :)

A diner in belltown you might not have heard about if it were not owned by one of the members of REM, and the host of some of the coolest shows ever.
I have seen some of my favorite live acts there. The place is far from fancy but host some cool indie bands in a very intimate setting (small perfoming area).
Several years ago I saw the Go-Betweens there and it happened to be a band members birthday.
They passed out cake to all and sang like I was at a family function. THAT my friends is what makes the crocodille a staple in downtown seattle.
Check the Stranger for listings.

Located in the post alley the Pink Door is a great place to go on a romantic date.
At night it is always happening, candlelit tables, and a european feel.
The food is pretty good but not "stellar". I would go here not for the good food though, not for the cool atmosphere, but for the entertainment!
Yes they boast some regular lounge type entertainment that is awsome. Most specifically is Ms Julie Caccioppo ( i may have spelled that wrong). Julie performs there regularly and usually as a different personailty each time.
Its quite a show! A totally unique experience. Dont miss!
