Located in Columbia Center this place is cool because the will come to YOU.
If they do so there is a minimum requirement of time which I cannot recall but they have a central location on the 2nd floor of CC that you can get 15 minutes for like $17. 15 minutes and that many dollars later can make a major difference in a stressfull day!
The thing I love about this place is that its an easy idea for business associates (The have gift certificates - which is how I found out about them myself).

Located down in the belly of the Pike Place Market (downstairs) you will find Golden Age Collectibles Limited.
They offer all sorts of interesting collectible arifacts ranging from comics to collectible cards to movie posters and scripts.
They have some very cool stuff that you won't find elsewhere.
Its a fun place to go and just look around.
I have never seen another merchant such as Golden Age.

This self proclaimed "gift shop" has little in the line of gifts. They do have a small selection of cards for all occasions but it is pretty limited.
As far as gifts, what they have are pretty cheesy. Mostly in the likes of stuffed animals and such.
Everything is way overpriced for what it is.
Given this place's location it serves the purpose as a place to stop in and pick up a newspaper, gum, tylenol, etc (minor drug store item purchases). I would say that if you are looking for gifts that you head elsewhere.

So your favorite ol' pair of treads are begining to fall apart? No problem.. Drop them off at Busy Shoes and he will fix you up! While shoe repair is not cheap, it will save you in the long run, buy you some time, and save your cherished pair of shoes, no matter what their symptom may be.
It is very convenient and the turnaround varies but is usually pretty quick.
Another bonus is that they have an arsenal of shoe supplies there if say you broke a shoestring or something.
Busy Shoes is located on the 2nd floor of the Columbia Center.

Forgot to get something at Costco/Staples/OfficeMax....?
This little business is located on the 2nd floor of the Columbia Center tower downtown Seattle.
This place has just about anything under the sun in office supplies and if they don't have it they will order it for you specially.
This place is great for minor purchases. I would stay away if you are planning on "stocking up" or making a "major purchase" for this type of purchase you will want to head back to the larger supplier.
One major bonus of this place is they sell stamps for face value! It sure beats waiting in line at the Post Office or using the dreaded Mail Boxes Etc (who marks these stamps up in a major way).

Most are familliar with the legendary Nordstroms here in the NW but not many seem to know of "The Rack".
The rack consists of items that were discontinued or didnt sell at Nordstroms. Hence you get a marked down price.
The Rack offers clothing for Men, Women, and Children. They also have a TON of shoes.
Let me tell you the shoe floor looks like a warzone. There are shoes laying everywhere. It is beyone comprehension. Good luck in finding a match!
As for the clothing if you time it right you can get some killer deals. But if you did not time it right you might find picked over garbage.
They also have alot of gift/home items on the main floor.

Its a nice change of pace from the towering corporate hotels downtown
It is very nice! The rooms are original. The service is unbeatable.
There is an Aveda Spa built into the building downstairs so you can send the wife down to pamper herself.
My only complaint with the Alexis is the parking scenario. There is none. You have to have someone park for you.
Other than that.. Its a great location and totally original.

If you pull up to the bar and ask for a drink you are going to get a REAL drink not some posh lounge coctail.
The Rendezvous has been around for many years and its success is in its bizarreness.
Its a great place to go to people watch.
The Rendezvous also has a small theater inside that often hosts interesting to good acts/attractions.
I suggest you check it out if you are in the neighborhood and want a mans drink :)

This place is a total gimmick that place that doesnt look or feel (or taste) like an Irish pub.
This place feels like a sports bar or something. Totally cheap and cheesy.
As for the food.. Cheap and cheesy as well.
I for the life of me cannot figure out why this place is always so busy. Possibly location?

Typically ANY place thrown into the Westwood Village I would set low expectations on..
HOWEVER.. Eats Market Cafe blew me away.
Surprisingly original. Great fresh foods. Nice ambiance.
It wasnt very expensive and the food was great!
I would go here for lunch for something different. If you live in West Seattle you know that a good restaurant is hard to come by.
I hope Eats Market Cafe sticks around for a while.
I know WL Villiage has been really tearing things up over there for some time... and yet it seems like mostly the same old businesses remain.
