I went here recently and almost left when I got a glimpse of the menu. It seemed largely focused on beef (which I don't eat). The place seemed VERY busy and so I decided to wait it out and see what all of the fuss was about.
I was kind of a struggle to find find something non-beef as there were only a handfull of other choices.
I ended up going with the Salmon and was very happy that I hung around. The food was great, the staff was nice. The restaurant was quite nice inside (which youd never know by the outside). Its also quite spacious.
I'll would defintely return when I have a pack of carnivores to please.

Went here to dinner last week with a small group and was pleasantly surprised. I usually try to avoid places that might cater to the tourist crowd but the food was pretty good, there was a nice selection of food to choose from (though focused mostly seafood).
The waitstaff were also very nice and attentive.
A possible plus might also be that you can park for free at the market (if you can find a spot).
My only whine would be that the wine selection seemed pretty sparse.

When snowboarding with my daughter on snoqualmie pass (ouch) and stopping to pick up something quick the last thing on the planet I thought I'd encounter was fantastic homemade mexican food to go!
If you are anywhere near snoqualmie pass I highly suggest you swerve off the road and try this place.
Ive been back 3 times so far. Some of the best chicken tacos Ive ever ever had complete with a sliced fresh lime on the side.. All from a place which resembles an am/pm mini-mart.

Zanadia is a real gift store! A great place for whatever the occasion! They have truly unique gifts. You will likely not only find the gift you are looking for you will end up picking something up for yourself!
Zanadia has been a staple in the Wallingford Center for years and has some really cool stuff.
They carry not only the basics (candles, cards, pottery, glass items, jewelry, art, books), but also carry lamps, furniture, and other home decor). We have even bought paint for our home there.
Then only drawback is prices are definitely pricey on the majority of items.
Example $28 for a avg sized candle? Not sure I understand that reasoning but the candles do smell good!
If you have not been to Wallingford Center you are missing out. It is an old school building which has been converted into a truly unique shopping space.

If you need sod for your lawn I would highly recommend calling JB Instant Lawn.
We have used them a couple of times and they were great! They deliver to your home and unload the pallets and set them where you want with a hyster.
They also gave me advice on installing, had a quick turnaround, and delivery was free with a set purchase amount (wasn't really all that much).
The grass we installed has been very tough and we have had no probems.

Innervisions is a store located on University Avenue in the U-District which specialized in prints.
They carry a mix of classic art prints, movie posters, and music/band posters.
They key word in all of this is "posters". If you are looking for art for your home I would look elsewhere unless you are merely searching for low end, over priced prints.
There are alot of better places to buy your prints with a larger selection and better prices.
I feel the majority of the "art" located here is directed at students.
Innervisions does offer framing as well for a premium cost.

One of my life's worst mistakes was buying a car here. The engine blew up literally 5 days from my purchase. It just happened to be on Snoqualimie Pass mid-winter!
I went back to this place and unbelievably they tried to blame ME!
On top of this I have run into another person that had their car which they purchased from Fraser's blow up a week after purchase too!
Coincidence.. I think not!

Three years ago following the birth of our 3rd child, my wife and I decided that were ready to upgrade to a larger house in West Seattle. What we thought would be pretty easy turned out to be a complete nightmare (I assure you there is no exaggeration involved here).
We were paired with an inexperienced Realtor who wanted to be in-and-out of the transaction fast and really wanted us to “hurry up and pick something”.
At wits end, we requested a new Realtor and got one. We quickly learned the value of a seasoned Realtor when we began working with Jim Biava. Jim was a breath of fresh air! We never felt like he was wasting our time and we never felt like he was even a bit pushy.
After boasting Jim’s name to family friends we found that they had also used him to buy their first home 20 years ago. They had fond memories of Jim as well! When mentioning this to Jim he knew right who we were talking about and recollected details of the transaction as if it were yesterday!
Jim Biava helped us get the house several people advised “could not be bought”. Jim did not give up and helped us get the house we really wanted. For this we are forever grateful to Jim. Jim knows the neighborhoods, the listings, the laws, the regulations, and has a plethora of contacts.
Out of all of this I have learned that ANYONE can sell you a home, but not just anyone knows what they are doing, and can actually make it a pleasurable experience.

Its nice to find something meaningful and/or unique once and while and you will find just that at Fireworks.
They also ohave a small section of gifts for kids/babies/todders. Perfect place to go for someone with a baby. They have great books and some cute outfits.
You can also pick up a card there to make it even more convenient!

I was apprehensive to send my child to a preshool that resides inside a church (it is located within the Seventh Day Adventist Church), HOWEVER this place is awsome. Very clean, excellent teachers/assistants, and there is no religion pushing whatsoever.
Our daughter went here for more than a year and we were all sad we moved and had to find a replacement as this place was SO great!
The biggest perk are those daily walks to where else but Greenlake!
