While in the market for a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid I requested several quotes on-line from all of the various Seattle area Honda dealers. Some refused to quote me a price by e-mail while others pressured me with repeated phone calls in an attempt to earn my business. Because my job and business travels keeps me quite busy, a competitive quote via e-mail with a prompt and courteous response was key without numerous call hassling me to come into the dealership.
I was fortunate to have James Bennett of Honda of Seattle respond to my initial e-mail. He was courteous, professional and above all, patient. I stopped in for numerous times to test drive and look at the car as I debated which color I wanted. Over the course of 3 months, James never pressured me to buy. He made me a fair offer which he stood by until I was ready to buy. When that day came, I showed him a quote from another dealer that was $200 less. While I did not expect him to beat it but was hoping he would match it. He said he would beat it by another $100. Because I knew both MSRP and invoice an was paying just a few hundred dollars over invoice I knew I was getting a great deal.
The process went very smoothly and there was never a pressured sell for unnecessary add ons, warranties, etc.
I highly recommend Honda of Seattle!

I have visited Remo's for the occasional birthday cake but recently I needed a pie and was looking for something different. After looking at various pies at Safeway and a few other stores I was not thrilled with the selection, appearance and quality. Although the prices seemed fair at $5.99 ($4.99 with your club card) I remembered Remo's and rushed over before they closed at 6pm. Reviewing their selection I found both a chocolate mousse pie and coconut cream pie that met my needs. At a price of just $3.69 I was thrilled!
Their selection is good and everything is baked fresh daily. The staff is pleasant and the prices are worth checking out the next time you need baked goods.
In the event you cannot find what you are looking for just ask them. They have gone out of the way for me to fulfill a special order when I could not find what I was looking for.

I have been a fan of this coffee shop for some time. While I do occasionally prefer my Starbucks mocha, the various drinks prepared by the staff here are quite good and the prices a bit more reasonable than the chains.
For parents like me the kids area can be a godsend. I am able to relax, have a cup of coffee and a conversation with a friend while our kids play quietly. In the back of the store is a good selection of toys and board games to satisfy most kids. This is a welcome relief as it is near impossible to have a cup of coffee at the local Starbucks without having to chase my child around. They periodically have local musicians perform although I have not had a chance to visit during these times.
In addition, they serve lunch and have a great selection of cakes and pastries and also are open for private parties and/or catering.
If you are in the area of the Junction I encourage you to venture about half a block north near the crosswalk to Coffee To A Tea located on the west side of the street. It is sure to please you.

My wife used Dana's to hire someone to clean our two story home when our last housekeeper was a no show. Dana's so called referral service sent two women over who slowly cleaned our home for a prepayment price of $87. While the price was low so was the level of cleaning. I have never heard of prepaying for housecleaning and advise against it.
The women slowly moved through the home cleaning the absolute minimum that they could get away with from what my wife tells me. Counters were wiped down not scrubbed leaving some residue or stains from coffee or other food and beverages, dust and hair from my 3 cats while less abundant was still visible in corners of the room and cobwebs in the ceiling corners were missed completely. Little did my wife and I know that the $87 was for a pre determined amount of time which was not disclosed to us nor the amount of time we were allotted. When the time was up they simply told us and prepared to leave thereby leaving the entire upstairs of our relatively easy to clean home unfinished! Reluctantly we paid an additional amount to get the house fully cleaned though not thoroughly cleaned. (smells of bait and switch)
If you clean your home and it requires a light dusting then Dana's MIGHT be suitable if you do not have the time and do not care how thoroughly your house gets cleaned. Otherwise if you want a regular cleaning that involves more than just wiping down a few counters and vacuuming, do yourself a favor and find another service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DANA'S TO ANYONE!

Living in West Seattle my wife and I frequent Alki beach. On our last few trips we noticed a new Mexican style restaurant called Casa Feliz (translation: Happy House). We tried to dine there on several ocassions but due to traffic and limited parking we were unsuccessful until today.
When we arrived around 1pm we found a nice little patio with a fountain greeting us t the restaurant and chose to dine outside and enjoy the sun. While we were not greeted promptly it was within a reasonable amount of time that we were seated.
Once seated we were given the typical basket of chips and salsa and our waiter disappeared. A few minutes later he reappeared and took our drink order only to disappear again for too long a time. When he finally returned with our drinks he disappeared again and five minutes later took our orders rather than take them after serving our drinks as we expected. As we waited we enjoyed the view but not the outdoor speakers which seemed to play only Enrique Iglesias songs. I swear I heard at least six in a row. Although I could converse with my wife and tune out the music I could not ignore the incessant poping noises coming from the outdoor speakers!
My wife ordered the #33 Chicken Burrito and I the #35 Burrito from the Ocean with charbroiled red snapper instead of the battered fish option. After a modest wait our orders arrived sans utensils. We thought that our server was going back for them but he never returned. Since the burrito was enchilada style (covered in sauce) eating with our hands was not an option. After a few minutes I was able to flag down a waitress and get some utensils. While my wife's meal was supposed to come with rice and beans it did not and we suspected that we misunderstood the menu since the beans and rice were in the burrito instead of ala carte as the menu we thought had suggested. Nonetheless, she ate and enjoyed her burrito. My order however was wrong as the fish was battered rather than chargrilled as I had ordered. I did not see our waiter again so I was stuck with my order or wait until he decided to reappear which would likely be after my wife would finish her meal. I went on to eat my burritol never seeing the waiter again to ask us how things were, refresh our drinks or bring us more chips, salsa or even napkins.
At the end of our meal the waiter finally appeared and asked in broken English "How was everything". I expressed my displeasure with the inaccuracy of my order. He said nothing and walked away to wait on another table. A waitress came by a few minutes later and I asked for some more chips and salsa while she refreshed our drinks. The chips of course never came.
While my wife's burrito was good, mine however this fish burrito was not. It amounted to nothing more than four or five small popcorn size pieces of fish tossed into coleslaw, wrapped in a flour tortilla and topped with a red ranchero sauce. The service was poor and best and the food rates a 2 on a scale of 5 the best part of the meal being the chips and salsa whic were unexpectedly quite tasty. I rate the service however a 1 out of 5. Because the restaurant is new and the staff may be learning I will give them 2 stars rather than the 1 or 1 and ahalf that is mor deserving. With menu prices ranging around $10.00-$13.00 range there are far better choices out there which offer better food, better service and better prices. If however you want Mexican food on Alki and are not concerned with a quality experience this could be the place for you.
