I don't like dessert. I don't like chocolate. But I went to dilletante with my friends and had the best lemon cheesecake I have ever had in my life. It wasn't too sweet and the lemon was very distinct. It's a great place to go with friends when you want to be a little luxurious. It's a bit pricey, but has the quality to back it up.

Unexpected Productions takes improv to a new level. The improvers are inventive and hilarious, and they don't let the inevitably-inebriated audience give them stupid and obscene suggestions. I love watching them perform. While their Friday and Saturday night TheaterSports shows are the most popular, I actually think their earlier long-form shows (performed at 8pm on Friday and Saturday) are even better and funnier.

My girlfriend and I took a visiting friend to Deception Pass State Park to camp. Even though it was right before July 4th weekend, we managed to find quite a few suitable camp sites. They have many sites with ample space and privacy, and all have a fire pit and a picnic table. The only problem was that the ground was a little hard, so it was tough to put up the tent.

I took my girlfriend to Moran State Park for her birthday. We stayed at camp site 8, the most-requested site. It was supposed to be booked for the summer, but happened to be free the days we needed it. It was amazing: right next to the water with lots of privacy and tons of space. If not for the ferry ride, I would only always go there for camping.

When my girlfriend and I went to H & I after her car was stolen, they made the experience much better. They were friendly and could see us immediately after we called. In addition, they went over the whole car with us, positing why certain damage might have been done and giving us an initial estimate of time. Overall, we definitely had a very positive experience.

My first time at Thai Tom taught me the importance of ordering the lowest level of spice if you aren't sure of your tolerance or their scale. I ordered one star and had to eat 3 spoonfulls or rice to each spoonfull of curry. The curry was well-priced and high quality, but I would definitely go safe on the side of spice.

I definitely have to agree that the decadence roll is incredible. Avacado and tempura asparagus with a wasabi aioli. It has kept me coming back and trying new things, hoping that it's taste will be matched by something else. I finally learned to stick with what works, though the Seattle roll also is quite good. The green tea tiramisu is a bit much for a purist like me. Unfortunately, the decadence roll isn't on their half-price happy hour menu, but it's worth it anyway.

The happy hour food prices at Ray's is what drew me, my girlfriend, and a visiting friend to Ray's. It was a Saturday and the bar was PACKED. It took us 30 minutes of lurking-while-pretending-not-to to find a table and by then happy hour was almost over. The food was honestly worth it, though I would suggest attending a weekday happy hour if possible.

Cucina! Cucina! and I have a strange relationship. It's kind of like the person I don't really like, but it good friends with all my friends. My family and friends always drag me there, but I honestly can't get behind the Ceasar salad (which has non-creamy dressing and is only hearts of romaine) or th pizza, which I don't find to be very crispy or tasty. Even the tiramisu had too much chocolate.
